Light Goes Out

Darkness
envelopes soul
rising screeching thoughts instilled
missed unseen jagged light escapes
heaviness weighs my heart

Your poem captures the remarkable capacity of light to challenge and overcome the forces of darkness, Christine. It conveys a sense of elegance and determination through its visual imagery, portraying the candle’s light as both fragile and mighty in its defiance. Good luck with the contest
