like a swiss-army knife

Shaq With a Human Resources Degree
This is the year of reinventing yourself
No matter what it takes
The jack of all trades is upon us

When you can no longer
Dunk with perfect impunity
You have to play the game differently
Grab an organization degree
To top off the all star lunancy
And sit tight with middle aged comeback...

Jack Ace, Jackass
He’s
cool,
jack of all trades
master of none,
as he manipulates
women for fun.

He’s
cold,
ice in his veins
and slick lil' snake,
he'll kill ta' steal the deal
real as he's fake

He’s
cruel,
crowned heart breaker
full trophy case,
but most ladies know him as
"Lowly Jack-Ace"

This is RHYME METER~...

Roll, Stone, Roll
it's said, "A rolling stone gathers no moss,"

I don't buy that, I move on, I'm my boss,

learning a bit of this, a pinch of that,

to the jack of all trades I tip my hat,

tutored by every win, every loss,

so far, I've survived life's roll, yaw and toss!...

Retirement Aftermath
I maybe bored To the extent of googling How to use the toilet bowl properly Amazingly, there is a detailed answer How dare U-tube gives so much information An informal education, yet Informative to the layman’s need and curiosity! Hmmm, I maybe bored A retirement aftermath (in my case) The unstructured time available Has turned me into a jack of all trades!

Hobbies
I go through phases.
Inventor, tennis player, runner, and musician to name a few.
They say the jack of all trades is the master of none.
That's the beauty of hobbies.
Self perception is all that matters.
That's why I'm here.
I believe in my art and my poetry.
Not because people think it's any good,
But because I appreciate it.
Call it selfish,
But don't forget to call it realistic....

Life Is a Game
If life was a game of cards
I would choose the Ace of Spades
And march on like a Crusade
I would move from Hand to Hand
And become like a Jack of all Trades
Then I would pick the Queen of Hearts
And dress her up in Clubs or Flowers
I would build a castle of Hard Rock Diamond
And send the pack of sentries
In six and nine and twenty
All around they would march
Till we all fell down like a pack of cards...

He Was a Farmer
He Was A Farmer
He was a farmer for most of his life.
A friend to all that came along.
Would help anyone with a dollar or more.
A jack of all trades and a master of none <He once said.
Loved life his family and his farm.
He is now gone to plow the fields in heaven .
Maybe milk a cow before Sunday church.
Then to a good place to eat. Missing Mary's cooking.
He'll be missed by all that called him Farmer Monroe.
R.I.P. Monroe 5/15/17...

Premium Member Early poem
From over the miles
I've jumbled, danced and loved
I found love been happy and unhappy
I have lived fantasy, daydreamed
remembered those who I've lost
I have felt pregnancy
longing for sleep
lived where life has taken me
mending my loneliness
learned lessons
went into relationships blind
found out when love is not,
but I am here
Jack of all trades
with my writing
learning daily
heading into my next destination
one page at a time...

I Am a Poet
How do words flow
To form rhythms that entwine
Like a passage, like wandering birds
That move when the wind instructs,
Like a spring of water on an errand,
A mountain-like fountain
Whose transport shall so remain?
So will my thoughts
Touch the air and travel to Greece
From a stance shall it evoke continents
With the universal color of words
I shall be your Soothsayer,
Lawyer and more
Jack of all trades, master of all;
I live for many, I live by words...

Steeplejack
Today I met a steeplejack
By chance, while on the street.
In New York City, that’s not someone
You are like to meet.

His van announced his occupation
So I stopped to ask
Exactly what might be a simple
Steeplejacking task.

“We’re tradesmen who do lots of things,
Especially on high –
Repairing spires and steeples;
I’m a jack-of-all-trades guy.”

I thanked him for explaining
And the knowledge I did reap.
Who knows? Perhaps tomorrow
I will meet a chimney sweep!...

Premium Member Confused Nightmare
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust Alone in this big world --- I turn to rust Unable to think or feel or speak Life's ahead and looking so bleak Wondrous mountaintops from plane to plane Living involuntarily under a lying name Sinister thoughts anger my soul Life is like die --- gamble and roll! King of Kings --- the Jack of all trades Wandering aimlessly and cut by the blades The tick tock of the clock wakes me from this sleep Just another horrifying nightmare to keep
