Man Needs
Man needs
Confucius Said "Man cannot live on bread alone"
No he needs an Ipod, a computer, cellphone, Tv, suv.
Did Confucius really know that man needs more than bread?...

I knew a guy named Sam, who was from Mars
He often talked about aliens and flying cars
                    I thought he was odd
                    He always had a Ipod
Now he’s behind bars for stealing green jars

Music Crimes
There is a hostage situation at my house. My daughter "music"napped my old fashioned music player and gave me her old Ipod to use. She wants me to be more in the loop and upgraded. She won't give me mine back.. Doesn't she know you can't teach an old dog new tricks. LOL...

Missing You
She was wonderful and powerful
My object of desire
Her smooth clean face so beautiful
The apple of my eye

My love she had an accident
She fell from up on high
I found her broken body there
'Twas lying on the ground

Now all I have's her memory
The songs we used to share
Oh how I miss that ipod
My heart it megahertz...

A Tribute To William Carlos Williams
I ate the rest of the ice cream drumsticks
I’m sorry, but I couldn’t resist
So cold, it melted in my mouth

I played on your computer today
I know you told me not too,
But it was so much fun, sorry

I broke your iPod yesterday
I dropped it into a bucket of water
I feel really bad,
But I got a new high score on doodle jump...

Memory
I look at one little silly thing,
The iPod that I decided to bring.
I remember that day clear as nighttime air.
You looked at me with those eyes that I couldn't bear.

And I brought it that day.
We listened to it, it seemed like everything was going my way.
I remember looking into your chocolate brown eyes.
Oh how I miss those happy times......

When not slaved to school
work I rush to do all of
my favorite things.

All at once in a
mad multitasking-fun-storm
of pleasure-chaos.

I was just sampling
Spotify tracks, playing my
iPod and writing.

While backing up my
music collection, planning
dinner and sewing.

And I thought maybe
I should make more coffee and
print my homework....

Premium Member Can I Also Have
?Dear Santa; for my wish list I would really love a bike- If it's not too much trouble Can I also have a kite?' 'I would like a new computer With games and an Ipod phone. I would also like a train set With tracks to fill my home.' 'But Mummy and Daddy are very poor Not much money they said- So if you cannot manage the above Can I have peace on Earth instead?'

I Have To Add Poetry
I have to add poetry
take it from my IPod to my laptop,
so I can remember what got posted
and what poetry that did not.

It's hard to keep up with things
when your life gets out of hand,
days get so busy lately
more time is what I demand.

There aren't enough hours in a day
when there are many things to do,
seems like time quickly slips away
do you feel that way too?

My Life of Poetry
My life is filled with poetry morning, noon and night, if I can't pen it fast enough it leaves out of my mind's sight. I try to always have something where I can write things down, whether it be my IPod or laptop even paper is sometimes found. Sometimes it drives me crazy poetry is what I'm talking about, my brain can get quite scrambled what I mean to pen, doesn't come out. Copyright Cynthia Jones Mar.25/2015

A Noisy House
A noisy House

Banging, clanging
screaming, squealing
babies crying

Mothers shouting
Keep quiet!

Dancing, singing
jumping, thumping
grannies munching

Mothers shouting
keep quiet!

Chatting, laughing
clapping, slapping
children scratching

Mothers shouting
keep quiet!...........

I sit here
in this noisy house
in a far corner
as quiet as a mouse

With pencil and book
and Ipod in ears
writing my poems
where nobody cares....

That Song
Sitting in the car
My ipod turned on
I hear that song
And think about you

A year since i saw you
A tear runs down my cheek
My heart suddenly feels weak
I close my eyes

Your face is so clear
Every crevice exact
I can't stand the impact
I have to wonder

My mind is going crazy
Do you ever think about me
What do you close your eyes and see
Or have you already forgotten

The song changes
I wipe away a tear
Try to forget about last year
I have my own life to live...
