That Song

Sitting in the car
My ipod turned on
I hear that song
And think about you

A year since i saw you
A tear runs down my cheek
My heart suddenly feels weak
I close my eyes

Your face is so clear
Every crevice exact
I can't stand the impact
I have to wonder

My mind is going crazy
Do you ever think about me
What do you close your eyes and see
Or have you already forgotten

The song changes
I wipe away a tear
Try to forget about last year
I have my own life to live

A wonderful poem, and the way you develop the subject ... we detach ourselves to hide from truths in plain sight ... an excellent study of th eemotions. Love and smiles

It's strange the power that music can have over us, the sound track that plays through our lives, both happy and sad. You've illustrated it so well here

I hear you. Try "Blinded by the Sight" or "The Wolf's Tale" I don't think men ever revisit those they dump. Light & Love
