Hanging on a loose end rope is utterly in vain
You feel like you have a hope
but in the end is only pain
At the end of my rainbow,
I see a vacant space
That makes me realise
The colours were illusion
And dreams were in vain.
A clock ticks away all its life
Unknown to the world outside
Does it like its refrain?
Our does it think it's all in vain?
twilight is falling
on the river of Desire
I’m dreaming in vain…
young love never comes to me
by a silent lonely lane
I have no roof to shelter under
When the sky begins to rain
For an umbrella through the thunder
I will always hope in vain.
The thunder, lightning and the pouring rain
Are signs I bought my summer clothes in vain.
For Andrea’s A Summer Couplet contest
Oh glamorous thief
You have stolen all my dreams
And hidden them each
In your obsidian keep
Where I search for them in vain.
Remember when - Rain or Shine
the mail must go through
Today - the junk on top is mine
the rest I leave for you...
Men who win in vain,
Think they're the only to gain;
Losers much gained; WIN
God is unquestioned,
therefore he has no answers
All questions for man
—looking outward in vain
(Dreamsleep: August, 2021)
At the river's edge
so as to scare the ugly cold
croaks in vain a toad...
PEOPLE SEEKING
IMMORTALITY
MAKE MARKS ON TREES
AND STONES
IN VAIN
ONLY TO TOUCH
AND ENRICH
THE WORLD
CAN ONE ACHIEVE
THAT GAIN
he waits
nonchalantly
drumming his long fingers
impatiently......he waits in vain

Death may be a release for ME,
it my be what sets me Free.
Free from things that cause me Pain.
Free from you that I Love in Vain.
Marilyn Manson
No he wasn’t a singer in Hanson
An ugly song about beautiful people he did pitch
The effort not in vain because he got rich
She is like the wind.
She is like the rain.
She is like the process,
that begins over again
and ends in vain.
The dreaded question
Stains your every peace and bone
For you fear the love's
Gone, how long will you remain
Just to see was it in vain
Listen to poem:
mozzie squadron fleets
roaring overhead in droves
dive to ear in waves
scream whining hisses so loud
that my swipes beats my brains out
Men ought, the treasure that God has entrusted them with, never in vain to use!

The stars outshine a pale moonbeam
We try in vain to touch our dream
We live each day
To hope and pray
We shall end it all with ice cream!
Free denizen of the sky,
The songbird is now in cage,
Flapping its tired wings in vain.
Yet the caged bird sings!
Since the day I was born,
Is the day my mother won.
A mother who gives birth is born again,
Because she is a mother she lives in vain.
There once was a Greek so to Speak
A weird kind of dominate freak!
He yaps and complains
Then argues in vain
Til Boring's his middle name!
Brothers and sisters let's love one-another so Christ's blood would not be shed in vain!

In vain,
The entire body had taut veins,
For vain glory,
Brought immense pressures,
To cut them down to size,
One looked for a good thresher.
