The Washington Sunburns

The Washington Sunburns can't play
With COVID-19 in the way
But those in the pink
May go to the clink
If God's little children hold sway!

Premium Member Silence Over Pale Water

Chill, steaming vapour;
Silence over pale water;
Above the east gate...
Thin ribbons in the pink
 Light.
I dip oars...and silence
  Breaks.

Premium Member Eye Hear What You're Saying

My Optometrist told me to blink

This may not be as bad as you think

With his light turned on high

He let out a big sigh

Said it looks like your eye's in the pink

Black Humor In a Grey Area

there was a redneck scarlet woman
who screamed blue murder
after seeing red in a blue movie
making purple passionate love in the pink
to the yellow peril who was green with envy

Premium Member In the Shadow of the Trees

red pompadours sing
cobalt macaws spread their wings
burgundy shadows

in the pink roses
sweet hummingbird mystery
like where the day went

here in the shadows
the day has gone up in smoke
embers in the sky

Put It Where You Want

When she saw it in position
There was no way she'd let it be
She loved how it was in the pink
And in my pants, for her to see

Sometimes it will end up in soup
Or in the pantry it may be
You can put it most anywhere,
That so versatile letter "P!"

Premium Member Pink

Pink

Pink, is the blessed colour of Love.
Pink, from one’s knee, the heaven above.

OH !, to French kiss those sweet pink lips.
One eyeing those shapely, gorgeous hips.

On that journey one takes to heavenly bliss.
No woman, in the pink, should ever miss.

Premium Member Is Missing You - Forever

Is Missing You - Forever

I ask as I pull my hand from the telephone
a beautiful morning, I rush to tell you.
the pink iris has bloomed
I must remember to tell you,
all of life minutiae we savoured as friends
are stored on the top shelf
in the airing cupboard.
each time, I tell you,
I lovingly store it in the pink box,
for later.

Premium Member cook and the cockroach

Cockroach germs come off their feet
Walking on used dishes with left over sweet
Cook goes after the bug with a yellow broom
Cockroach runs rapidly out of the kitchen room

Cook thinks everything will now be okay
Not knowing the roach laid forty eggs that day
in the cupboard under the kitchen sink
the eggs are cozy, sort of in the pink.

Premium Member Pink City

Going again to the Pink City...
The going there is part of the charm.
Leaving it is always a pity...
Then it's back to the chores of the farm.

(Never think of the farm when I'm in the Pink City...
Perhaps all the cows are going to pot?)

I love it, though, love the Pink City.
Pink City, Pink City! I like it a lot!

Purple Patch

PURPLE PATCH
I’m going through a purple patch; All that I touch turns to gold. My opponents are green with envy, Even though I’m grey and old. Please excuse my colourful language, But I’m really in the pink. If this purple patch continues, I’ll win this contest I think. 228th January 2019 Purple 2 contest Sponsor - Kevin Shaw

Premium Member I Am a Rainbow

I Am a Rainbow

I am a rainbow
One color built upon another
Sometimes red hot with inspiration
Often the warmth of an orange autumn
Yellow brightens my sunny personality
While green reflects desire to grow
Blue soothes my restless waves and feet
As I dream in purple's visions
Each colors my days outside lines of black and white
And I love being in the pink!

The Quiet Noon

This quiet noon of winter
Enters softly my leaves
Puts on the chlorophylls
A wave disintegrates me
The quiet breaks free

The quiet breaks free
Uproar from the dark
Admonitions stark
Trauma in the tree
Comes back the noon

Comes back the noon
Fright, flight and night
Then the stars bright
And the golden nest
Tales in the pink chest

Premium Member What About Fish

cat, dog and a red and black bird.
Her pet fetish seemed to some absurd.
She likes the feathers and the fur.
But what about scales? Do they tickle her?

The next week after luncheon, we got an answer to this.
Inside her bathtub was a baby crocodile named Little Miss.
What about fish? Do they put her in the pink?
She had two large guppies living in her wash tub sink.

Premium Member Next time Around

Next time around I will be six foot eight
I will play basketball, and I will be great
Next time around I will be born in a city
I will have confidence, not care if I’m pretty

Next time around I will not care what people think
My own opinions will keep my joy in the pink
Next time around I will be a star with an entourage.
People will lavish me with bouquets and a corsage.

Premium Member Merrymaking Among Friends

Merry making among friends was in full swing.
The hedgehog was pouring his ale with a sing.
Mouse the bartender was being liberal with drink.
Everyone felt cozy, warm, we were all in the pink.

Merry making among friends extended to enemies too.
We all became comrades, in the flowers of blue.
The caterpillars did flying tricks to entertain us.
I became a best friend with a wren name of Gus.

The Dishwasher - a Tribute To a Major Appliance Poetry Contest

I really love the dishwasher
And so does Mum and Dad!
We filled it after every meal,
Until one day I heard a squeal!
Water had poured all over the floor
But hadn’t made it under the door!
Until the appliance was in the pink
Dishes were washed in the sink.
That really was not much fun,
It’s fair to say it was none!
Dishwashers can break in a blink
But it’s so much better than using the sink!

Premium Member Unholy Smokes

Very popular in our country be.
Cannabis, now eaten as candy?

Thai sticks, so much stronger.
Their "high" lasts far longer.

No wonder people act so crazy.
Get out of a room filled with
unholy smokes, so hazy!

Drive through Berkeley, it stinks.
Fresh air puts you, right in the pink!

Get high on love and creation.
Be yourself~ you are the true sensation!

Good Companions

Good companions all,
Friends to keep.
They give love back,
A love so deep.

Don't be alone in the world today,
A loving friend is only a dog away.
Never go home to an empty house,
Your friend is there without a grouse.

A wagging tail, a welcome bark,
All for the price of a walk in the park.
They ask for only a meal and drink,
We all exercise and stay in the pink.

Attuned Sentiene

transmissions of vibrations
seventh sense
we are witnessing
the music of love
rolling
hearing the movement
of the rainbow
dancing
feeling the wet sand
in the pink beach
in every conceivable
neutrons
perception of separation
shivering in the
epidemic of global fear
we are manifesting our
reincarnation
in the womb of a
divine raga
in a
bamboo flute
my battery is dying
