Blood Clot and Boycott
Blood Clot and Boycott

Rather than crossing lines and boycott,
We did have a drink called blood clot,
And then hardened;
From jail pardoned;
After we would finish it, hit the spot.

Sweet-Er Sensation
Underneath, you above,
Hold me close,like a glove,
You whisper my name,"yes love",
Meant to be,white doves....

You lean forward, I lean back,
You pull my jeans,I lift your top,
You bite your lips,I hit the spot,
We tremble like leaves, and then collapse......

Chocolate
I ate a piece of chocolate;
It was dark and hit the spot,
So I savored it quite slowly
And enjoyed it quite a lot.

There are some who splurge in secret,
Sneaking sweets in utter stealth,
But I eat my chocolate proudly
‘Cause it’s helpful to my health!...

Original and a Response
This poem sure hits home with me;
To write, it took some time.
It proves again as you can see,
That the best ones always rhyme.

Gene Lakin,
My Next Door Neighbor

Like a good beer, it hit the spot
Outside when it had been hot
In my mind together things are meshing
And write this poem which is refreshing.

Love
when I go to sleep, I dream about you
when I close my eyes, I visualize you
when I look at you, I smell the sense of an approachable person
when we kiss, I feel potent
when we lock eyes, the feeling feels irrisistable
when I daze, you're the one I think about
some call it chemistry
others not
I know that its's love,
Ane will always hit the spot!

True To the Hope
When one door opens, another door closes
Hackneyed this saying, but never exposed it
Like the love in red on rarest roses
Faith takes pictures, but not in my poses
Until you enter the room before the door closes
Then faith is all you have, stay true to what you got
Hope for the credence, so the worst can not
Now open every door so your dawn burn hot
And stay true to your hope till you hit that spot...

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I wake up in the morning – the thing that I do first
Is hurry to the bathroom – for fear my bladder will burst

Then I scrub in like a surgeon – and head for the coffee pot
Hoping that first cup of java – will truly hit the spot

By 8:00 I'm ready for my first nap of the day – and the bed seems so inviting
But rejoining my bride for a little love play – somehow is more exciting...

Senior Wine
A single glass of wine could mean
A peaceful sleep; a peaceful dream
New wine for seniors, I kid you knot
Will offer more; will hit the spot
While Pinot Blanc & Pinot Noirs
And Pinot Grigio are the stars
This newly developed hybrid grape
Is an anti-diuretic taking shape
It’s expected to finally reduce the number
Of bathroom trips that hinder slumber
This new wine soon at dealer’s door
Will simply be named Pinot More

Crisis Horn Haiku For You
COVID Crisis Horn Haiku for You

they should receive their each shot
will love them a lot

(or farm may have bought)
(what we have been taught)
(temptation off fought)
(without shot was caught)
(down a note will jot)
(a no no if not)
(or dead body rot)
(a no thought not hot)
(sure to hit right spot)
(will be hot to trot)

Either add another line
or pick out one which
you prefer and do like
the best....

Horn Haiku Is All Great Horn Haiku
Horn Haiku Is All Great Horn Haiku

About my poem thought
If happens not to be hot
Sure won't hit the spot.

You will have to think
About this for a long while
Sure done in Horn style.

What may be the norm
They have for a haiku form
Mine could cause a storm.

Set the record straight
What I have heard as of late
Horn haiku (is) are great.
(Take your pick.)

Premium Member Why I Love a Poem
A poem has eyes that open and close like windows,
or gills on an airborne fish.
A poem has waves that rise and crash and go back
taking our sand
like grains of time
that transform into deep receding shore
longing, looking, naked
needing more than what it had
that was taken by chance and nature
or not?
A poem must hit the spot
and leave us sound and sore—
closing ears to slamming doors.

Not a Moment Too Soon
I did a little reading,
 scanned the poetry of others bleeding;
okay, I did a lot
 many hit the spot,
You know the one with hope
 where everything you wrote
is not near as good as those you read
 not even the random thought in your head;
a smile, a laugh, a gathering of tears
took me back in time to better years
that spoke the words poetic
written on the page to bloom rejected
then finally some inspiration
 not a moment too soon....

Premium Member The Lips My Lips Have Kissed
Summer was here I enjoyed it not
Heat and humidity did not hit the spot
Spring now a different thing_in spring_love
Slightly warm days flashing of color, Dove
Blooms from bulbs_so many shades of green
Upon the trees_renewal of all seen
Fall is almost here banishing summer
Shorter days_cooler nights_welcome color
When winter comes blowing fall asunder
Barren trees_cold days even nights colder
Then the memory of the flavored kiss
Rose flavored kiss under the rose trellis...
