ECSTASY

to awake
and then to dwell,
pillowed on your breasts,
there to pause awhile..
draped in tenderness..
muffled in love's caress!

Flash Flood

draught of somnolent disdain breath
in dehydrated well of pain
fortified dam hides tears
wailing rains ruin all
barricades broken in flash flood
debris of deluge everywhere .

Premium Member Snow Crash

Snow falls silently through the night,
And glistens on the face of dawn
 Like diamonds in the dew,
 Beneath the frosty fleece,
A flower peeks out with a sigh
Wondering why it snowed in spring!

Flash Light

Flashes like rainbow sunlight lit Shone her belligerent facade The sheriff headlamps rays Subsided into quest Then at last her secret broke out Like mucus from a stayed baked bread 5/26/2020 HEXASTICH IT Poetry Contest Nette Onclaud

Flashlight

Ah! Drop your prejudice and hear
I lost my love, fortnights ago
My weeping tears dried-up
Searching for my last name.
With solo flashlight wandering
Among scattered droplets of war.

Shadow Flashed

Is it the shadow of dark cloud
A vast and hovering menace
Over the endless lake
In this moonless dark night
That flashed in the heart of the dark
Like the echo of unheard sound?

Premium Member Flash Revelation

I’d caught you with her in your arms, in my heart I knew you’d not cheat- but you flashed HER that smile; that smile reserved for me ... it was such a tender moment as you cradled our baby girl! HEXASTICH IT Poetry Contest Sponsored by Nette Onclaud 05/26/20

Rehash--Doubts

Spade of heart drenches our intent
More than once , we question this fate
When blazed nights consume us
Disagreements stewing
About unresolved qualms .
Rehash of doubt lingers. Silence.
We breathe in constant light’s fondness.

Premium Member Flash Fire

New love – white hot and ravenous,
     gasping air as reason struggles.
           Oh – ardor of flambé;
       sweet still, in flame’s repose.
Though a dance once tangoed - waltzes
…just a caress, old embers spark.

Premium Member Crash Fusing

Lonesome time of isolation,
caged in self-confined crumbled space.
Stretched arms, silk cheeks withdrawn
to distance redefined,
feel of live touch lost in deep gloom.
Wish I could crash on you to fuse.

Premium Member Rehash Hash

Chopping the meat of the problem,
I throw in cubes of potatoes -
the proof of my beliefs.
Serving my rehashed dish,
I keep hoping folks will taste it
before the expiration date.

Premium Member Flash Dance

Beneath the shade of pinnate leaves
I catch a glimpse, a swirling haze...
an agile penché – a dash
of graceful pirouettes.
Then like a flash, with a glissade
the whirling wind exits the stage.

Flash Secret

Brimming love potion at sunrise ornate cookies of motherhood, drape our savored taste buds; 'Oh! She must love to cook'. Sliding 'neath her pillow of dusk, mom's poetry flashes secrets. Rolling waves crashed against the shore, thunder was cracking in the sky, and wild lightening flashed. My heart is in pieces, and in my mind I hear screaming, as your car falls over a cliff. ____________________________ May 25, 2020 Poetry/Verse/Hexastich/Crash Death Copyright Protected, ID 20-1254-794-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the contest Hexastich It sponsor, Nette OnClaud, Theme Chosen #3 Crash Second Place
