Bleeding Out
Blood stains in my memory,
clotting in my heart
Arteries of pain and loss
—hemorrhaging the dark
(Dreamsleep: June, 2021)...

Red Sun
Broken hearts behave as bright
Morn' sun, hemorrhaging red
staining all that has been touched,
while pulled from loves grasp.
Loves stain

Environmental Hemorrhaging-
Nectar clear skies secluded
Antique rose blizzard included
Emeril black canvas alluded
Zest for life pyramid uprooted

Vindicta
Buried in the shadows,
hiding at night
Valor pierced and left to bleed,
hemorrhaging with fright
Fangs exposed and deadly,
searing from within
Readying to pounce and strike
—vengeance to begin
(The New Room: March, 2021)...

War
A hemorrhaging madness…
wounds bleeding again
Old stitches have broken
death marking the end
Unsutured indemnity
ensuring your pain
Flesh burning in enmity
—uncauterized shame
(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2016)...

A Plea For Mercy
The soldier fought inspired, with all his might
He thrust his trusty sword into the foe
As Victory moved clearly into sight --
Just then he fell to unexpected blow
He lay there stunned and hemorrhaging to death
A plea for mercy clinging to his breath
How could cruel Fate take Victory away
~ His foe to live and fight another day...

Sable Poetic Leakings
assiduous
spiritual voices
whisper veracious words:
faith tested
is faith strengthen…
firmed like tested muscles…
flexing mind
expands and joyful spirits
dance as mental quills
ink blood of truths…
hemorrhaging
melodic metered sounds
flowing freely from
the sable cerebral womb:
delivering new hope
sucking leaking nipples
of undying faith…...

1 Step
Bending a second around my fingers
Time drips from my pores
I am the hourglass of my life
hemorrhaging life that spills on the floor
What use is time that can never be held
Memories turn to dust, light fades and feelings die
Ripping reality and joining where it shouldn't be
Life and death starting and ending at the same instant
Born to die one and all....

If Only and Yeah But
If Only and Yeah But....
If I could only fly on wings of balm
Into the chaos of every hemorrhaging heart
Each shredded soul - eyes flooded by a tidal wave of "Why?" -
If only and "yeah but" fleeting ghosts - if only.....

Crimson Clarity
Funny, it is how witnessing the root form of greed
Can cause an otherwise healthy vision to bleed
Humorous is a poorly conceived disguise
So much so that blood drips from my eyes
Hilarious is the blinding light
Hemorrhaging to the sight
Amusingly though, it's not so cryptic
As phlebotomy consumes the optic
If any of this has you seeing red
Maybe control your anger instead

Flaming Hot Cheeto Apocalypse
screaming wind
crosses wires
transformers boom
sticks in the rain
spewing sparks
hissing
sizzling
vomiting
smoke and steam
trees topple
creeks overflow
rivers rage
we beg for it
and it comes
atmospheric rivers of it
bomb cyclones of it
avalanches of it
tornadoes of it
acute hemorrhaging
extreme
as the 9
and
the 5
our politics
our culture
flaming hot cheeto
apocalypse
pray for
the unsheltered
the strays
all victims
caught in the storm...

Dusk
A drowsy sun has closed his eye
Leaving me in tinted twilight
Hemorrhaging color by degrees
until I stood in blue-black night.
Dusk is the darkest of twilight
where sights and sounds become adverse:
a contrived unreality,
imagination unrehearsed
and interspersed with primal fears.
Harmless shadows act out phantoms
conjured deep within my psyche.
Howls and hoots: night sounds most fearsome
Quasi-influential fancy
when dusk attains ascendancy....
