Funny, it is how witnessing the root form of greed
Can cause an otherwise healthy vision to bleed
Humorous is a poorly conceived disguise
So much so that blood drips from my eyes
Hilarious is the blinding light
Hemorrhaging to the sight 
Amusingly though, it's not so cryptic
As phlebotomy consumes the optic

extreme

our politics
our culture
flaming hot cheeto
apocalypse
pray for 
the unsheltered
the strays
all victims
caught in the storm...

A drowsy sun has closed his eye
Leaving me in tinted twilight
Hemorrhaging color by degrees
until I stood in blue-black night.
Dusk is the darkest of twilight
where sights and sounds become adverse:
a contrived unreality,
imagination unrehearsed
and interspersed with primal fears.
Harmless shadows act out phantoms
conjured deep within my psyche.
Howls and hoots: night sounds most fearsome
Quasi-influential fancy
when dusk attains ascendancy....
