A Plea For Mercy

The soldier fought inspired, with all his might He thrust his trusty sword into the foe As Victory moved clearly into sight -- Just then he fell to unexpected blow He lay there stunned and hemorrhaging to death A plea for mercy clinging to his breath How could cruel Fate take Victory away ~ His foe to live and fight another day

They are one in the same. For one it is victory taken away, for the other - he live's to fight another day. Superbly written Gershon. Best wishes...Ron

Excellent point, my friend. And the two sides of this coin are so radically different. Best wishes, Gershon

Just when you're ready to declare victory or that you survived, like you said, it changes at the drop of a hat. Thanks, Tom.
