is our jacuzzi now

Hide and seek
Seek then hide
Ask and refuse
Refuse then ask
Be the fan-belt
Discover her springs
Warm up her autumns
Heat up her winters
Cool down her summers
Then pamper, flatter
baking peanut butter cookies, created in haste
salivating in anticipation of their sugary taste

Something that I never buy is frozen sausage rolls
The only time I do is just before the Christmas hols
We stuff them in the freezer to heat up on Boxing Day

our house turned frigid
we could hear the wind whistling through the walls
Mom filled empty bleach bottles with hot water
we slept with them to try and keep warm
store-bought hot water bottles were expensive
I do not need them any more
It’s not that Kansas does not get cold
but we keep our heat up and we have two dog-ovens
While I was waiting...
For weeks of strong tease,
That weak mind's rating-
Shadow haunts at ease.
While I was looking...
For years of calm peace,
That heat up cooking:
Lighting love(s) apiece.
While for forever...
Stillness holds my breath;
While yours seems clever,
Ignorance stages death.
But I know, lies stare;

Black striated clouds interspersed
With red sun and blue

Sounds entertain but few
Fog fluffy pillows dance 'pon pines
Night creatures still sing mirth

Whip-Poor-Will's song cease

Day's journey heat release
Wild words fly about,
your arms are caught in tremors;
We are a mirror

Two are too crazy
to stop and see what is true;

The hottest streak of days I've ever known;
Enough rays to heat up both dust and stones.
Heat hangs low beneath the dry clouds.
