roaming wilderness
gripped by hunger

until revelation
pivots the victim
aggressive arguing
defensive while
harnessing feral
hungers unwieldy

with megatons
securing leverage
against savage
hidden wandering
enemies disguised
behind amity....

Cracking a hole in the great blue ceiling
that will nevermore be replaced.

Astronauts in their cloaks of pride,
bravery, their Tour de Force, in place.
The spirit of the first explorer, Alan Sheppard,
rode with them as they harnessed space....
