Let God Marry You

Let God give you to them
                                                           Happily Married

Valentine Footles By Mdailey

My bride
I sighed

To Bed
I said

Drop dead
Butt head

My love?
Her shove

The couch
You grouch

I tried
I cried

Asleep
I weep

Stupid
Cupid

Mdailey	2/7/12

40 years happily married! This never really happened.

Happily Married Sequence

happily married
thoughts of the ones remembered
frozen in time
as they were in that instance
in my mental photographs

never growing
those people I knew
caught in time
still wondering what happened
to the blue dragonfly yesterday

The Blonde Next Door

My thoughts
drifting between rhyme
and un-rhyme.

A scenario, I write
where
me and you, we lovingly pursue our dreams.

I am blessed, sure I am,
but when my thoughts awaken
in reality, you are

happily married to someone
with three kids.
And I sigh…ahh!

Call On

All your acts done with
the eyes, mind, tongue and muscles
will sure bring their fruits.
Then the pair sorrow and joy
call on happily married.

Premium Member The Confidence of Ten Men

marguerite bergman, small town Iowa girl
ran off with a Texan at age sixteen in 1916
ran back home after he beat her in 1917
divorced husbands numbers two and three by 1925
Became my father’s mother in 1928, now happily married.
A woman with the confidence of ten men.

The Infatuation

Infatuated by the way you move
I’d like to be close to you
Circumstances are your happily married
Let me not get carried away
By the way you sway your hips
And lick your lips
Putting my head down
When your husband comes around
Thinking he is one lucky man
Sincerely
Your biggest fan

Significant

Me and poetry are happily married
The bond we carried
Took time, nothing was hurried
Critics we slowly buried
First I made a simple draft
And started perfecting my craft
To build this castle
I needed more than muscle
It takes a psychological mindset
And the determination to hustle
Now me and success often tussle

Friends of Friends

they look just like twins perhaps they share everything where you find one know the other is not far off despite their being close deeply do they differ refusing to be seen together hiding their faces of influence they have endured for generations being happily married to their oath still they leave to us blunder and fall

Premium Member Two More Limericks Re Marital Trials and Tribulations

I
A happily married man is he
Who weds, not for love, but for policy.
His life will be clover
If his wife will sign over
Not the deed to her heart, but her property.

II
A woman who weds for the pleasure,
May live to repent at her leisure.
When she's no more excuses
For her husband's abuses,
A close bond with her lawyer she'll treasure.

Premium Member Impotency Cure

Throughout my marriage I struggled with a horrible ailment,
Penile Sexual Erectile Dysfunction,
and because of my chronic impotency,
my ex wife filed the papers and divorced me.
My divorce it turns out was the cure for me,
because I'm now always ready for moments of intimacy.
Fewer single guys ever struggle with impotency,
as opposed to all of those who are so called happily married.

Happily Married Flaws

Few couples can above flaws rise,
An average spouse on them spies,
Take each flaw— his and her—
To mix them together,
Stir and mix as to neutralize,
Then pray, count on your luck,
Unlike dew upon duck,
There’s good chance, each flaw multiplies!

Poet’s note: Take heart, an average couple seems happily married, for, their flaws are.

Premium Member Lusting For Loveliness

Lust has betrayed me many times
Opened me up in ways I had not imagined
Very few times have I escaped her clutches
Every time I say "Never again!"
Lonely women seem to be my weakness
I feel the pull of their longing hearts
Not knowing if it is possible to resist
Every molecule cries for their touch
So I acquiesce to my addiction
Seeking and wanting their loveliness

Your wish is my command John.

Note: fictional write
Happily married 22 years!

Complex Love

Complex love through the years,
Friends who shared learning,
They also shared classes,
Good to be with,
The young years with God,
The adult years with the Lord,
Returning to the happily married with children years,
The good memories with us always,
A royal passage comprehended,
The divorced years and always friends,
We continue to cope with this complex love and friendship,
We leave that in the hands of the Lord,
Thankful for the many blessings.
