Not Good Enough
Dimmissed, defective, unimportant,
Discounted, unworthy,
Unnoticed, undervalued,
Guilt-ridden, under-employed,
Underpaid, misunderstanding,
Unempathetic, overwhelmed,
Under duress, under siege,
Over-whelmed,
Over-dose, undertaker, underground

Morte Corona
Running from
the voice of my conscience …
who’s deceiving who
Guilt ridden fear
embedded too dear
one and one still two
Trying to change
what’s inherent
my thoughts both twist and bend
With words falling deaf
death’s coronet
—judgment reprehends

A Nimbus
you move like a hefty pin
on a rail,
anchors lodged to every limb,
like a guilt ridden prisoner.
you strike at an impression,
as if flightless,
feathery.
but your disguise
is utter pain,
deceiving.

move on! move on!

abandon your heavy ways.
find a release.
perhaps during a seasonal drought?
i know some would appreciate that....

Joe
His frost bitten nose,
Scarlet like blood,
His blanket a cardboard box,
Under the ledge,
He sought shelter,
But luck with him was not.

A velvet cap scarce with
pennies,
Guilt ridden coins,
For all were cut with careless
greed,
And intentions good were not.

His heart heavy and eyes
longing,
Cast across the sky
A final hour,
A final wish,
A meal for the night....

My Spirit
My spirit stays strong, even through the darkest of times.
Suddenly it was taken away. Pleading and begging him to get off me. Invisible my cries went for years. Ripped out from underneath me, my childhood was stolen. Isolated scared and guilt ridden. Taking away apart of me forever in an instant.

Crimes of Passion
Razorblade drapes cracked daybreaks’ neck,
Crooked arm beneath her face,
She reclined dove quiet,
Conscience dwelt, guilt-ridden waves
Amidst the silk and lace.
Roared a solemn riot,
A lump caught in my throat, gorging brimstone,
The noose tightened,
Throttled tears of eyelid fashion.
Sneaking on my winter coat, wore Judas fear,
Brooding cold and frightened
Carried home my crimes of passion....

A Trickle of Blood
That scarlet drop of a life still on my bayonet;
Lying lonely then in a six foot trench fox coffin,
Judgements of those at home not yet screaming in ears.
Shouldn't I have died to free them of guilt ridden freedom?

Only if they knew I had dreamed I wished it happened;
That final pain so much easier to survive than my fear.
Having to kill to live painting me into coward's corner,
At least that's the way I saw it in bloody dying color.
