there are
merciless
words that shatter joy
falling with tears of farewell
as sorrow’s wayward ghosts come fleetingly home
Behind closed eyes,
the future still to mourn
Grieving in a blinded state
—orphans left unborn
(Dreamsleep: October, 2020)
Is it ever enough,
will it ever be enough
Today grieving for tomorrow
—all truth in the past
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2017)
The cries of a mother in labor
And those of her new-born babe
The tears of a spouse, grieving other
Transcending language, one after another
today’s conch bead lei -
aloha Lahaina &
lokelani rose
nod & prayer from the mainland
grieving your loss, your song heard
When I stop weeping
for you,
When I stop hiding
from the world,
When I stop grieving,
and start living
and laughing
again,
I'll still be missing you.
He all of a sudden experiences a new psychosis,
As he solemnly stands in the sunset in his grieving process,
Tossing onto her grave a thousand stemless red roses.
tears falling like rain
grieving for lost innocence
never to be found
God gave you to me
but for a moment
As I held you in my arms
That moment became
the rest of my life
One cherished moment
stretched by years
In a grieving heart.
From whitened trees, leaves are leaving
Releasing fall, color flutters
Upon the wind's icy mutters
With a ruby river weaving
Homage to a season's grieving
10/20/23
Amid barking clouds death evanesced
fighting grieving hesitantly inclining
for justice keening for life moaning
not obeying only persevering
quarrel remaining, soul tearing…
Worship
Blissful, Divine
Healing, Uplifting, Revering
Emptying my sorrow, Draining my tomorrow
Recalling, Grieving, Erasing
Grave, Distraught
Worry
Each memory a breeze
brushed cheek of hinted fall
when in the summer grass her grace so tall
seasons: winter, spring, come one or all
Never there, without her stare.
Never saw.
As your tears flow through the windows of your own soul, oh grieving heart,
Know always these are only but the gentlest of water droplets
Always evaporating upwards towards the Heavens.
Tragic night in Sixty-Eight.
Praise to my mother’s Underwood.
Grieving fingers would not abate,
creating a thesis for Masterhood,
while cities burned with hate.

Mission known for fine hand weaving.
Chosen site left priests not leaving.
Neophytes were seen believing.
Bay's close, great crops.
Sickness leaves now no one grieving.
Soldiers made stops.
Unfruitful woman,
Grieving and barren
Lament not life’s fortune.
Heaven shall reckon.
Plump as a melon.
Life wrought its leaven.
Childbirth. My haven.

Being stoned today has a different meaning
Once meant with rocks, much hurt was receiving
On public display
So appropriate today
For certain world leaders who leave us grieving
i knew i had crossed the final bridge
when i stopped grieving what i had lost
and started treasuring what i'd been given

Eleven years later,
and it hits me.
You are not here and that hits hard.
I can't see you,
I can't hear you,
I can't feel you.
I can only reminisce of the memories you and I once shared.
No one knows your pain
the emptiness of your heart
the disbelief of losing a loved one
and never saying
I love you again in person
never hugging them
and holding them close
we are just lost
TRAPPED in the shell, we made a home
ACHING in the heart, you helped mend
GRIEVING in the soul, you saved
ALONE with the man, I call partner
LOST in the life, we built
DESPERATELY seeking salvation

Israeli hostages and Gazans hollowed,
the dark cold cruelty of some in humankind.
Gray circles under frightened eyes,
bones protruding from fading frames.
Listless song of the starving,
grieving God. ~
