 condemn my burdens to the past,
 and while the sadness is ever present
 i choose not to resent how it ended, 
 or that it did at all:
 to have been merely a page in your story 
 was enough....

Foul, black depressing mood - Begone!
Lift this mantle, you’ve made me don.
Let the smile return to my face
that I might meet the day with grace.
