Great Scot
that trot
on gnomes
and domes
Bamboozling, casting spells in dark site
Roaming and iridescent like sprite

if any jet ever broke the sound barrier
it must have been this jet
her loudness assaulted our silence
awakening sleeping elves and gnomes

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Born on Scottish soil
Both writer and physician, he delivered us Sherlock Holmes.
A spiritualist too, he believed in fairies; possibly in gnomes!

you have a boo boo?
May pixies sprinkle it with kindness
Divorce in the family?

Premium Member Ear Noses Eyes' Tongue

Eyes are sometimes useless when you need some combs.
Ears can see and smell what eyes and nose cannot sense under tombs.
Eyes can see gnomes, but ears can do better when darkness comes and roams.

" Lightening Bugs " By: Tom Wright 8/17/03 Fireflies at evening on Zephyrs ride, In courtship, they flash, as lightening. Adrift o’er vale and wooded wayside, Yet, as Gnomes, as day is brightening.

Premium Member welcome to gnome village

Welcome to gnome village
where the lemonade is free
and the inhabitants want to feed you cookies

Sounds good to me, I agreed.
Where do I sleep?
Who takes me in?

You are a giant, one of the gnomes told me.
Don’t push your welcome.

Premium Member Strawberry Faerie House

There is a strawberry faerie house deep in the woods.
The gnomes are jealous of it; it holds secrets and goods.
The fey had heard of it in whispers without cannots or should’s.
It is apparently a place to play music and delight in the woods.

Premium Member They Have Come For Me

The giants have stormed the castle,
The gnomes are stirring havoc in the kitchen.
Every which way I turn there is a charger or a steed.
Unicorns are trampling through the main hall.
I grin, knowing they have come for me.
Time to test my magic!

Ghoul Treat

Long icicles fall, splinter
On the grey cobblestones,
And silver shrouds of winter
Shield the frozen bones,
Frozen, flesh-full bones.

And ice-gnomes squirm and scurry
Over mossy tombs,
They’re hungry and they scurry
To the feasting rooms,
Marble feasting rooms.

Premium Member Moving Fleet-

Quantum leaps
Pretty feet
Elf's running under the sycamore tree

As garden gnomes
Find their homes
Lo! their minds are on flying drones

Evergreen trees
Eversole airmatic and pretty
Squirrels fall throwing pine cones

Premium Member no big surprise

Three chubby short stubby snorting gnomes came into the field.
They held a skeleton, a cauldron, and a jack-o-lantern from our yield.
Give that Jack back! I challenged the thief, who would not show me his eyes.
They ran off with grandma’s favorite cauldron too, no big surprise!

Premium Member Scaring the Gnomes

Witch Joyce had a contest with Wormwood, the warlock of choice.
He had stated his cauldron made better brew than that of Joyce.
Their cauldrons created conniving concoctions that tempted and dared.
The rest of the villagers, gnomes and faeries ran away, for they were all scared.

Waimea Canyon

Kauai's wonder is Waimea Canyon.
It's called Grand Canyon of the Pacific.
Nearby the "Little People" do frolic.
They are the "Menehunes", companion
of the natives giving them help in need.
Fairy tale gnomes part of island lore's creed.
Some say they're oft seen on a white stallion.

Grog

Grog

Gulping down a flagon

Gives one a gibbous glow.

Gather 'round ye hardies,

Grab one and have a go.

Ghostly foam and farting

Gnomes bilge one gushing flow.

Garish gaffe...drinking Grog!

Addison

If I tell you the story
about garden gnomes
and blue light
it will be more a fairy tale
maybe even a fable

you know
there are animals
in it
and they are talking

God shouldn't be mad

there is no sense
that he bought me a watch

I rarely know to say
when is the right time

Premium Member Gnomes

I love the gnomes
I m drawn to them
One time I had twelve
I named all of them
I named him Chris
He holds a gift for me
Another one I named
Charlie
I have a tumbler
With gnomes and hearts
shapes
When waiting in a line
It called out to me
So I bought it
I take my tumbler
everywhere I go

Premium Member The Dainty Faerie

The dainty faerie found a napping place in the meadow, above the forest wood.
We knew she was there, so we tiptoed, as considerate elves and gnomes should.
She apparently needed her rest as much as any faerie in the glen ever had.
Her parents were appreciative of our consideration, her grandma equally glad.
