Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Born on Scottish soil
Both writer and physician, he delivered us Sherlock Holmes.
A spiritualist too, he believed in fairies; possibly in gnomes!

My introduction to the world of books and perpetuating captivity in bibliophilic realms. Oh shame Mr. Doyle; every prayer - a page and Paradise raised as The Library of Congress.

Wouldn't put it past him, Doyle believing in gnomes, that is. Clever tribute here, Andrea. ~ Gershon

I have been past his old house, which was in Quite a state of disrepair 30 years ago Andrea There is a freemasons temple ( the authors Lodge its called by members ) in Crowbrough, i was instrumental in leading one of them to the Light Of Christ.' I beleive he mr Doyle must have been a mason In that regard..I know he was an opium addict Strange the paths people take in life.'

A nice bit of info that would explain Dr. Watson possibly being the gnome? Cheerio, Andrea, and cheers for placing in Brian's contest! Aloha, William
