A veil of white lace obscures my bride's face as she walks with girlish grace in her practiced pace, look-see; soon, she’ll take her place standing pure and chase by me.

Aged To Perfection
Now I lay me down to sleep in the arms of a woman who lets me keep the legend of me, in my mind. My old woman is terribly kind. Now I lay me down to sleep in the arms of a man who lets me keep my girlish reflection — his eyes a mirror. My old man could not be dearer.

Waiting In the Rain
With each of a feminine
Girlish swishing head
As one droll inhibited *
When not rainily diffused
Select gazing has confused
Worsen's waiting's grief

Up-swirls the one dear figure.
Sylph apparitions's!
So colours the emotions
As brighten a day's face-trait
Recognized alone of it
Gives this heart relief.

Spectroscopic Smile
Your exit teased before turning around,
Quickly gaze to expose who you've found,
My boyish blush spotted by girlish glow,
Our eyes lock in tandem as we both know.

Naturally break in two genuine smiles,
Heart dropping moment without denial,
Vunerable selves were almost too real,
Frankly our chemistry made time stand still....

Friends' - 2000
On long summer days lets sit and talk awhile,
Making time for each other, endless conversation
( I think we could talk forever...)
Sitting in the garden, soothing cups of tea,
The sweet smell of boarders; brimming with colour.
Glasses full of lemonade, sun hats, happy smiles,
Endless girlish chatter, that's what friendship brings to mind....

Ten Ways To Tell You Are Getting Old
When your boobs begin descending
When your bottoms getting bigger
When you put on extra weight
And you’ve lost your girlish figure
When you find a friend in chocolate
When you’d rather read a book
When you take of all your clothes
And nobody wants to look
When you get a water bottle
When your feet are always cold
When the night sweats come to haunt you
It’s a sign you’re getting old...

Kevina
Behind the elaborate mask I wear
You are a tempting sample of wine
Beauty to behold, your face serious
With a dazzling smile, girlish delight,
With the most enchanting looks
that would melt the coldest of hearts
You are exquisite, warm, beguilingly innocent
The list is endless...
When I see you now,my heart flitters
and now more than ever,
I crave for your glowing angelic presence
Happy Birthday!!...

Latin Class

it is written all over him
in words of gesture
phrases of swagger and strut.
the swirl of his cassock, proud
as he flashes into the room
Latin books at the ready.

there is a smile
smouldering inwardly
for only he to see.
I am wanted, he thinks,
they do not know why.

his dark handsome eyes
survey a breathless room
the thorn in their girlish side.
it is safe to display illusive wares
for I am untouchable....

Premium Member My Favorite Dish
In the kitchen my mother stands
Blue bowl in her work rough hands

The cracks and chips my fingers trace
Remembering the lines on her tired face

The bowl is full of memories sweet
Of her stirring up some special treat

If I could have just one little wish
We would stand together with her dish

Stirring up some breakfast batter
The room filled with our girlish chatter

The old blue bowl is with me still
In a place of honor on my window sill...

Leg Man
It begins with a cursory glance
Long before the beguiling smile
Or the girlish giggle,
Or the flick of the head
That makes her hair dance
Somewhere between the appraisal of a shapely leg
And the curiosity of what lay hidden
And you are smitten
And while your defences are down
It tiptoes into your heart almost unnoticed
It whispers into your brain.
And touches your soul
Then you are in love
And lost to reason
All for the glance of a shapely leg...

For Constance
Faded black and white photos
Loved ones lost long ago
Girlish dreams, packed in a wicker chest
Faded and worn from use and age
Hope in my chest for a better tomorrow
To be loved, protected and cherished
For all life. Where is my Prince?
Memories of a girlish heart packed in the chest
Buried deep to forgetfulness
Wonder if all the acquaintances would
Recall the girl in the photos with fondness at all?

For Constance LaFrance's contest Dusty box of Memories...

Watching the old school clock
       How I wanted out!
       ~~Tick-Tock,Tick-Tock~~

The birds of spring, calling me,
       With chirps enchanting!
       ~~Tick-Tock,Tick-Tock~-

       Finally, blessed clock struck three,
I ran from school with girlish glee!
       ~~Tick-Tock,Tick-Tock~~

There exists in me, a forever clock.
       Passionately for Freedom's Dock.
       ~~Tick-Tock,Tick-Tock~~

Vanity
Mirror-leather cheekbones and a smile belt
Hanging like a lucky charm on a girlish wrist.
Thick lashes to shelter the green I could only dream of
In painted reveries, while stringing beady sighs
Around the neck of the endless day.
Yet, I put more scraps of midnight
Into my pockets, on a quick touch of time,
And I let my gaze rest on the shape of you,
As your pace darkens into the deep.
I follow you, breathing in the foldings of the skin
That grew out of mine and lives on another....

An Apology
To every woman and girl
That I have called pretty
Before anything else,
I am sorry

Women are the hearths of life
And I am sorry to have not
Shown my awe at your strength
Before your beauty

Girls are impressionable and
I’m sorry I didn’t ask you
Your talents before I saw
Your [girlish] beauty

I’m sorry that “beautiful”
Came first, instead of
Talented
Strong
Important
Loved
Willful

Because all women, and
Al girls:
You deserve more
Because you are more...

Wingman
I was at a party
Heard a girlish scream
But, the scene
was expected to me.
Fat, hairy dude
Starin' down a pretty lady
I tittered a tad an' said: Baby,
That's just my pal
Salacious Sal
He's an okay dude
to have around.
He ain't no looka
Don't got much charm,
How'd ya like him
on ya arm?

The girly said
F*ck no
an' turned
to go.
Salvy my man, you
shoulda known.
She was intimidated
by your big bones.
Or was it your etiquette?
Salacious Sal only said
“oh well, f*ck it.”...

Premium Member Me Against the Sea
On the ocean waves my lover sailed,
Far from my girlish charms.
I can’t think why he’d sail away
And leave my loving arms.

I begged so hard for him to stay,
He gaily waved goodbye.
I doubt he loves me as he should.
Why would he make me cry?

I stand now on the rocky shore
And await his safe return
I’ll plead that he no longer sail
And leave me here to yearn.

But should he sail away again,
I’ll know my cause is lost.
His mistress is the briny sea
And I have borne the cost....
