Hi, Lee Flammable
Compare and contrast
the use of symbolism and imagery
in the following two poems
by Gerald McDumb Bell
The test question piqued my interest at first
the poet's name and all
After glancing at the poems, though
I doused them in wood alcohol...

'adeus'
After all this time
Dare we go there?
Eventually we have no choice
Unknowingly the decision was made for us
So although I am a little sad this is adieu; until we meet again
*Gerald (suggestion of the word in Portuguese) & Jack (his persistency :)
Hope you are not disappointed*

Gerald
He proclaims he is in misery
Broken hearten he is
He is so lonely that he could stay
In the woods for days
Depressed in his thoughts
He sits all alone, with his folded hands around his legs
"i'm in search of love" He mourns
"I’m broken down,
confused, disdained and
my only friend is my misery"....

Which Us President
only one United States president was a fashion model
no, it was not you, Trump
This president walked the runway during college
twisting and turning, making money for tuition
Not Kennedy either, he had a bad back, remember?
Lyndon B? No!
Nixon? Double no.
I will give you a hint
His name was Gerald
He was from Michigan
His wife is Betty
She started the Ford clinic...

Unfurled Eyes
UNFURLED EYES
I’m fondly called by pretty name Gerald
It’s only a while I’ve come to this world
See pale faces smile in pain
Wonder if they’ve gone insane
Surprised, I look on, my blue eyes unfurled.

Bad News Clip
I opened my email list
and was quickly surprised to learn,
from Allison and Tim
A BIT OF BAD NEWS:
Some bad news, Gerald,
Senator Murphy is short...
I didn't bother to open it up
to read the entire message
because I know the Senator is taller than most of us
even when both feet are firmly planted
on his platform floor.
I'm sure I would remember Allison and Tim
if we were on a first name basis
And
I know fake news
when I almost see it....

Complaint
Beloved readers, here's the thing
prose is not allowed.
My responses made for Gerald Greene
the site saw fit take down.
"Not poems" was their reply,
when questioned for the cause.
What rebuttle could I give?
Let live is not enough.
These were not saved
in any form.
They've gone into the aether.
I hope they've been some little good.
In common suit, I've followed through
removing other prose.
I do not think they'll come again
in these censored rows....

Fitting Together Just Right
Fitting Together Just Right
By Charles Gerald Patrick Chard 2bd
Gavri Hanita Hazaka Abir Selek 2nd
O How I love him,
Let me count the ways,
O Love which is no whem,
In charm and his smile I say,
He look at me so sweet,
His form please to my sight,
His love to me such a treat,
We fit together just right,
He does so much for me,
I love him more each day,
My love for him will he see,
He is so wonderful, this I say....

Ford
(Dedicated to Gerald Ford who died December 26, 2006.)
In 1974 you became the 38th President of the United States.
You were President for only a short time but you were great.
You were a fantastic man while you lived.
But when you pardoned Nixon, it was something that many didn't forgive.
In 1976 you didn't get elected.
People held Nixon's pardon against you and Carter was who they selected.
You died on December 26, I hope your last Christmas was merry.
People mourn your death, Jerry....
