There are things in this sphere
that are painfully clear.
My memory has fled
bottom's like lead.
Alas, old age is here.

Antarctica
migrated to Africa
Africans welcomed her
at night all hosts froze
Antarctica laughed!
and the remains?
fossilized!

Lush dreams
of velvet mists
and streams
Moss tides
smear harbor wall’s
grey sides
Blue waves
spray fossilized
lime caves

love
the distance
between me to you
would be a prehistoric

I do not know?
seasons
overlap
elements
promise much
but
nothing happens
sunrise
unfolds..
a gentle
ease
awaits the day..
expectations
rise
then fossilized
derided,
forgotten..
until
next time

Verse
at the end of a life
the conversion should be complete
{under constant pressure
from a pressurized society}
a diamond in the shape of a shrunken being
should lay at the bottom of a gaudy grief box
accepted back into the cold black hopeless earth
forgotten depressurized fossilized-soul coal

Great works are like
Fossilized trees
Petrified by time
And turned into stone.
Great works are testament
Of hard work, perseverance
And made up of precious materials
That goes beyond generations.
Great works are history
Of life, progress and conflicts
Never run out of legendary stories
That carve a name in the epoch of time.

In river tombs, patrolled by bull shark sentries,
sifting through the heartbeat of centuries
for fossilized teeth of terrifying behemoths
who never laid eyes on the many faces of man
would have devoured him if given the chance
a mineralized tooth and *****sapien hand
meeting where oceans and rivers dance
in the silt of Pliocene dreams.

Everybody assumes
you like dogs
especially their dog
sprung from its tether
breaking for you
this morning
all a-scud over the gravel
propelled by yeasty, toothy
gushing grins
homing in on you over there
fossilized, frozen by
by the dumpster’s Gape,
one less
cat person
the world won’t miss.

MID-EAST TURMOIL
Infused with uncertainty
Now spreading thoughts of own
Makes for the ignorance
Which is today well known
Leaving posterity
The senseless seeds thus sewn
Unleashed ugly anger
Shows all that you have learned
Your fossilized doctrines
No place in hearts have earned
Repulsion now garnered
No stone’ll be left unturned

I do not know?
Simple treasures we have found
(seaweeds, fossils
seashells, crabs)
as we learned to look around
Walking holding hand
(He stopped
and wrote)
I love you in the sand
As the tides began to rise
(He laughed
I cried)
as the words disappeared before our eyes
But simple treasures we have found
(become fossilized
loving memories)
as we learn to look around

I do not know?
some where- stygian transgressions are
carved into impervious hillsides-
fossilized relics, their
meanings yet undeciphered-
blistered fingered sculptors
gifted with
quixotic acumen, chant
mystical word songs -
translucent echos dance around
opaque distant moons-
images rise- phenoix eyed vigilant
reminders-
of a time gone, but not forgotten

Blank verse
Tuesday afternoon sags
Under the weight of my
Uncertainty
Sagging slow and ponderous
No sage wisdom here
Frozen in brittle golden amber
Glass
Fossilized bug
Tuesday afternoon thoughts
Tumbling, tumultuous
Caught slow and
Stuck tight
In a sealed glass bottle
With a cork?

"As an endangered species preserving the environment is a must
Or undoubtedly be fated as fossilized remains upon Earth's crust"

Dream depth
Dreams are the Leatherback tortoises
lazing across the Caribbean’s;
the blue water and columns of sun.
dreams have seen the ruins,
the pieces of lost cities, Atlantis; buried.
Dreams have touched the fossilized white bones
of a father, a fisherman, who sunk.
The boy wakes up, runs on bare feet
towards the shore where his dreams are.

9
My naughty brown cat’s 9 lives are still intact
She is very fit as a matter of fact
Thanks to the wiry little dog of my neighbor
Who chased her home tail between legs and all
Or she would have been stomped on by horses
And left fossilized on the very big dark road
Where I would have found her lying very dead
Then my tears will form pools like raindrops do
And granny’s prophecy will be coming true after all.

Alliteration
A dream lay on the beach.
Like a stone pounded smooth.
Gently sweetened by the sea unclaimed.
Beauty unrecognized
scores pass by
those fossilized souls
dead-slag eyed..
Too often a devil comes along.
Gleans it from a deserving palm,
skips it across the cold backbone of the sea.
Until it settles into the blackest ink.
Time and tide will retrieve it again.
Once a millennium...
The dream receiver being long since dead.

This music was insane.
Do not pluck the wounded apples
of conjugal extraction.
The volatility was increasing.
Shades of blue were
sharpening. The intrusive moon
will decide the fate of
fossilized fracture. The death
came by the back door.
The rough edges are to
be smothered, after a back
encounter. The saint was ready.
The anxiety overwhelms. You
try to find a small window
to bring in the song bird.
