Retold Journey
Insane
I turn around
an amputee

to live, for not living
fighting the inner war
speared,
lacerated,
like neanderthal in cave

my weapon
the serrated moon
cried in fluted dark

a glimpse of bare bones
the ash of a bleeding dawn
my shuttered courage
in urn
there was only one evening

SATISH VERMA...

Wee Music
The soft blue fairies sail on azure wings,
All embellished with flower rings
And garments of woven weeds.

Without a sound they come down from above
To the mossy carpet ground they love,
On their tiny blue fairy-winged steeds.

And then they sing and strike up their band,
And dance around, hand-in-hand,
As they blow on their fluted reeds....

Night Sky
Behold, a crack in the sky...
Its a star ! And then it multiplies...
A thousand million
 silver twinkling confetti...
Galactical milk in celestial ballet
Your white bedazzle takes the breath away
Soapsudded moon and underwater candellabra
In an ocean of quiet delivery
Oozes a rhapsody, nay a symphony!
Gliding on golden orbital slide
A bridal comet gown on fluted notes
MAGNIFICAT! MAGNIFICAT! MAGNIFICAT!...

Premium Member Limestone Heart
limestone hearted eaten away
by God's eternal, feral rain

stalagmite preachers in full royal bloom
igniting fanged candles to temper gloom

memories choked with thorny throated weeds
half-hearted souls, blue marbled eulogies...

truly, time chisels flesh into stone
fluted memories are forged from bone

snake congregation bearing footfall refrain
limestone hearted forever.. a mad harlot to the rain...

Hope
A glorious radio symphony begs for attention,
While the lonely heart writes its fluted song
And hopes you hear the melody
It so longs to sing to you.

The autumn air blows free
And joggers with panting brown dogs
Run by windows lined with morning pulled blinds
And fall’s brilliant leaves drifting, drifting, drifting.

While I hide behind the glasses
And watch and wish to say goodbye,
Goodbye to summer’s crush and
Hello to your new and winter capped smile....

Premium Member Sand
Silky soft sand
a zen garden
dutifully raked
organized
but fluid.

Rock solid concrete
a straight sidewalk
purposefully aimed
determined
and rigid.

Silky soft sand
a seaside beach
eternally shuffled
chaotic
but natural.

Rock solid concrete
a fluted pillar
anciently built
weathered
but stoic.

Silky soft sand
a pliable mind
persistently curious
unmolded
and alive.

Rock solid concrete
a zealot view
insistently settled
decided
and dead....

Sepia Visions
Nestled in the arms of night's embrace
I wait for grievous thoughts to fade
as though they were bubbles popping
one by one, in a fluted glass of champagne

When bold colored memories languish
 sepia visions distort my sorrows
and the scars branded across my heart
become blurred by the moon and stars

I'd rather not recall the depths of sorrow
No need for crayon drawings of it all
Time should erase the heartache I feel
but it's moving much too slowly, I think...

Premium Member Firelight
Firelight warm and welcoming
thick fur rug spread before it
candle lights flickering softy
red wine in tall fluted glasses

Rested on the mantle reflected
in the mirror in hazy tones
casting a soothing atmosphere
with an air of expectancy

The hopes of people now long gone
linger adding a peaceful note
inviting lovers to come in
to dally a few hours away

Step inside relax with some wine
let your mind go off where it will
set yourself free let love take flight
embrace love with an open heart...
