Hope

A glorious radio symphony begs for attention,
While the lonely heart writes its fluted song
And hopes you hear the melody
It so longs to sing to you.

The autumn air blows free
And joggers with panting brown dogs
Run by windows lined with morning pulled blinds
And fall’s brilliant leaves drifting, drifting, drifting.

While I hide behind the glasses
And watch and wish to say goodbye,
Goodbye to summer’s crush and
Hello to your new and winter capped smile.

We all have feelings of hope, it is a basic instinctive feeling we experience very often. I hope that the 3rd of November will be a peaceful election day for all Americans - I am an optimist, not a pessimist, I hope you visit my page sometime, it would be lovely. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I like the optimistic beat of this poem. We could all use a little hope to lift the spirit in these dark times. Nicely written.
