Flush Out Flash-Back
Quick and forever to forget.
The aftertaste
of those words and all nerves
sobbing spasms and tears.
Quick and forever to forget....

A onetime hit and unforeseen is this quick crack
a father some time ago in a sour flash back
oh where are life’s sentinels
standing against death’s colonels?
comforting hands, convert it not to a fair sack....

The Bank Job
Out of the bank I ran.
Money and gun in hand.
Bumped into a marching band.
Kids let out a scream.
A flash back from my dream.
Frown on my face,
as cops gave chase.
They screwed up my plan.
In the alley I made the last stand....

Raincoat
A old worn out raincoat.
It was so wet it was hard to wear it.
Nested place of another time.
A flash back in my mind.
A door bell that rang.
It was clean like a whistle.
Open your heart oh dear one.
It’s time to wear the raincoat....

Christmas Spirit
The scent of Christmas
I’m smelling it here
All lights are on
As lanterns do swing.
Old songs of December
Sang by street kids
I started to flash back
Our last Christmas eve
The whisper of wind
Pleases my ears
It’s getting cold now
Christmas spirit is here!...

Faces
Passing faces
 Different places
Some flash back and forth to stay to linger
   Others hard to remember
    They bring pain and agony
     They play sad lonely symphony
      Ones hidden behind
Fewer are the ones with one side
        Many live in masquerade
         With features of a charade...

Dreams
Some say when they sleep they don't dream
They see endless darkness
Some dream and forget in the morning
I remember mine as I just stepped in my dream

Everyone says that dreams mean something
But I don't, I believe that every dream
Is a flash back of what you did before
Sleeping just in a very odd form and style...

Opportunity
Opportunity comes but in every instance
Look inward and Self-rate your performance

The open doors are still left unclosed
Flash back and see opportunities that you have loosed

Grace is all you need, don't hope loose
Once a lost opportunity can still be the goose!

There's no error in trying again
Opportunity lost can still be regain....

Inkless Pen
Solid lines of no solidarity;
scribbling at paper with an inkless pen.
Brain-check,
flash-back;
to a time when rhyme meant decent lines
in due time.
And now I’m stuck with this darn inkless pen;
scribbling for weeks on a blank sheet of paper.
Scribbling for weeks and the end-product is this;
at least an end-product exists!
Touché...

Pain of the Past
As i close my eyes,
and the pain of the past starts to flash
back in my mind
I try to put it aside,
but don't matter how hard i try
i cant take way this way i feel inside.
ITS like, sit in my room writing my
tune an the past starts to flash back in my
mind.
i just cant help my , self
but to sit an cry, this pain hurts so bad in side....

November Twenty-Second
Forty-eight years ago
JFK died.
If you were living then,
You must have cried.

TV ran on and on –
Pink hat and shots;
Oswald and Ruby
Connecting the dots.

Bloodstains on Jackie,
The LBJ pledge;
All of America
Sitting on edge.

John John saluted,
The widow in black.
Innocence ended
And never came back.

Each twenty-second
The month of November,
Those moments flash back
And I pause to remember....

The Solution
Eyes without vision,
Minds without thoughts,
Bodies moving like zombies,
Living,but playing no part,

Following bad company,
Wasting precious time,
Another great young life,
Charged for murder,numerous crimes,

Living a cruel,bloody life,
Leaving many in sorrow,
Flash-back,things you have done,
Makes you afraid of the shadows,

Possessive in love,
Consumed by greed,
Controlled by anger,
The ALMIGHTY,is what you need......

The Needle Pushes: An Ode To the Pink Floyd Song Comfortably Numb
the needle pushes in her face
a kiss and the wall scratches
higher naked searching cracks
for an exit you scream soldiers
planes flash back and forth flying
a room fills with angry anxious
voices shadows growing tall
corpses rise flowers swallow
space white crosses over graves
praying mantis mothers explode
down the endless fluorescent
hall your lifted into the
long black limo ripping worms
from your face...

The Landing
one foot then another
emerges from the capsule

the bloated figure
floats onto the barren crater

each small step creates a new footprint
on the dry beach

he beholds the earth
the fragile ornament
hanging by a fishing line
from the tree of naught

the radio waves crash and crackle
behind the mask

the electric filaments leap
and flash back to Houston
where the men in black-framed glasses
shout for joy....

Refrain On the 6th
Twinkling in the dark, rings of soul
Burst from the inner world and exposed to outer space meeting soul mate
Time and space are amplified like a pendulum
Shape of soul changes and the colours sprinkle of azure and green mixture
Gone to dark stars and smoked all around in chains of fire
Rings of soul laughed at flash back, introspecting now over the world of timeless

Remember the Old Days
R-emember the old days,
O-nce you are all alone;
N-othing you can think
A-bout but yesteryear's zone.
L-et the old days be remembered,
Y-ou can do it in silence;
N-othing you can recall but the unforgettable ambience.

L-et the past be reminisced
I-n complete serenity;
P-lacid place and time
A-re suitable for memory.
T-ry to quietly flash back the former childhood face;
O-n fourth October morn, remember the old days....

Certain Dates
Certain dates we don’t forget
For it is automatic
To think about events which
In our lives were quite traumatic.

November twenty-second and
Eleventh of September
Are dates my generation
Will just naturally remember.

But other dates are personal
And even if I tried,
I never could forget today,
The date my father died.

Each year I flash back to that time
And feel that jolt of pain
That 12/10 on the calendar
Will trigger in my brain.

Summer Heat
Thoughts of last summer rush to my mind,
Walks along the beach in the blazing sun,
Burned my soul in an erotic and love dance,
Memories flash back of those times of heat,
Sometimes when we are grieving one way,
It smothers those thoughts,
My dreams of you kept me functioning,
For I do not sleep alone when you visit,
Many nights I wandered out of bed,
Book in hand on the couch,
Just so I could be alone with you,
Even if it were only my thoughts....

Undeveloped
on the edge
of this day
a monotone sky
rises dull
undeveloped
like all these rolls
of film
tucked away
in the drawer

sometimes
i want to peer
beneath the corners
see the negatives
exposed
remembering
each frame
of moments
captured
so long ago

develop
these memories
flash back
through the years
they hold
contained

yet sometimes
i 'm afraid
of the storms
and the rain
they may bring
like these clouds
enveloping
the horizon
this monotone
day...

Life In a Keyboard
Control, Alt., Delete
Pop up, end task
Close down
Get out
Run!
Run free; with haste
Free escape
All alone
I am nothing
Compared to you
One million buildings
Filled with you
more can come
I don't know
Unhealthy heart
Going slow
Panting
Like a dog
Can't breath
Lungs closed
Open Rode
No one here
Why?
Disease.
Effects:
Lungs Closed
panting
Close Down
Oh No!
Black out
What happened?
A flash back?
No
Just thinking
I'm okay
Open new task
