the fever overtook us
after our vacation week
needed a soak
soaked in each other’s skin
toweled off
grinned

Love is fever without known medicine on earth.
It catches anyone on target,
then the two suffer together
until after bed rest.
A little house on the prairie
Was home to a virgin fairy
She lived with an elf
Who played with himself
All the way from Tipperary
It drips in the wind;
Moonlight spreading spring fever
all over the ground;
You want to dip your toes in,
but know not to break the spell.
The lagoon water
ripples silver under the
skimming breeze and the
moonbeam blazes a hot trail on
their quivering bare bodies.
There was once a driver
Infected with yellow fever
Who passed it on to his woman
And she to the barman
And they all came down with a fever
fire brigade siren shrieks in the town
fire raging in my heart
pray, a shower of rain.

Her eyes see clouds above the ridge
As if she soon might cross that bridge
But its a scam
She just wants jam
(The bathroom scales are by the fridge)
Spring has entered the atmosphere,
Love, coupling and much mating.
Pairs in a variety of lifeforms,
Nests built and life long commitments.
Deep in the pine woods,
Small glass panes reflect
Warmth of a stone hearth.
Dust motes rise slow;
Cabin smells of sap.
Winter's world outside.
dormant seeds take root
blossoms bloom, birdsong elates …
spring fever is nigh

People who live
Away from others
Are not necessarily mean
Solitary or anti-social
Perhaps they can't tolerate
Hypocrisy, fabrication
And realistic attitudes in their lives.
Shadows depressed along silent walls;
Loneliness aches where sunlight fails.

SPRING FEVER
As I sit, staring out the window
'Bring back the sun' rings in my ear;
Constantly echoing in my mind,
destroying me like a switchblade;
Eating me from inside
feverish, I long for Summer

Whoever has cabin fever, hold up your hands
Can't hold up mine, cause I'm typing and can't
Never lived in a cabin
Assumed no distractions
But must make allowances for wielding an ax
Adrift on this river of fire
A love that is built to inspire
Brings me to my knees
Has me begging please
To relieve my raging desire

someone’s baby boy
relishing in spring fever
motorcycle revs
looks hot in leather
should be wearing a helmet
chaps over blue jeans
someone's baby boy
tearing down busy freeway
motorcycle fever
it was all over...
before it started. the end...
of a love affair.

At the bus stop appeared a large crowd
They were cheering and clapping out loud
Admiring a blond in her room
Whilst she mooned in full bloom
Then she turned round all excited and proud
cloud calling rock range
nimble footed hideaway--
climbers cold mistress
stony faced beauty
brilliantly immutable--
renders me breathless
hawks moon-shadow leap
glacial peak to sky unscathed--
cannot hide from me
