Favor

I never planned it this way,
nor imagined this road, this day.
Yet here I am, and here you are,
walking together under God’s favor.

Favor of God After American Abuse

Fighting apartheid, hating privilege:
Having "favorites" (?) - thus hating Favor
Until Jesus THE WORD showed me
Anoints His children, any color

Big Favor

Scratched my head,
Must allow
Preeminent
To write.
Why nuisance the world?
I’ll go to sleep
Get it right
Good night
Make a difference
Then awaken.

Favor and Savior

Favor and Savior

Always want to be in God's favor;
Know His son is my Lord and savior;
Wash away sin;
Won't do again;
Will be in heaven with Them forever.

‘Por favor’ means ‘for a favor’
‘cos that’s what ‘please’ is about

A pleasant way to request one’s desire ~
unlike ‘our leaders’ who scream and who shout

Premium Member Returning the Favor

“What are you doing, son?” she asked after he began to carry her
when she was having trouble as they walked down by the sea?

“Just returning the favor,” Mom, he said,
“for all those years…you carried me.”

For us if her muse is intact.
Take her some lemon muffins with chocolate chips galore.
If they are warm with bits of icing she will probably get her paints and follow you.

The Gods Do Favor Those of Pure Affection

the charms of life enchant your soul,
and seeks to snatch your spirit,
and from your heart is hatched hope.

The Gods do give compassion
upon mortal men of mighty empathy.
The Gods do favor those of pure affection.

Be born and breathe freely of life.

First, he asks me to
"Do me a huge favor"
I said, "Sure, why not?"
Then he annoys me with a follow-up...
"Please, don't let me down!"
I asked him...
"How can I let you down when your feet are planted on the ground?"

Premium Member Poseidon Did Great White a Huge Favor

flippant great white was turned into a peninsula by Poseidon.
others protested on her behalf, but she was happy about it;
now she would be immortal
people would visit her for centuries.
her relatives faded away, or died one at a time.
she remains Shark Rock, a favorite of children.

Sally had too many drinks at the bar
As eyes wandered into her cookie jar
A darling to the men
Not to be outdone, then
Her eyes charged under the hoods of their car

Return Favor

To the right,
to the left,
swagger it was,
I swear by my word,
you did not come to my aid,
lest I had fallen,
you watched,
as I staggered along,
and stumbled on stones,
now it is my turn,
you are looking at me,
to lend you hand,
I will keep both behind,
and watch you go down,
even if you have a frown.

Premium Member Curry Favor

Listen to poem:
Oh I do like a good curry
spicy and hot,
with a lot of flavor,
fresh herbs and spices.
But I abhor your flattery
to fawn and curry favor
in vile ingratiation.
Such curry has a bitter flavour
and nips the bud of any favor sought.
It's a dish of foul curry and tainted rice,
topped with a sauce of greed and avarice.

With Lovers Insurance Covered

Someone comes to shoulder the cost
Of what you’d spent and thought you lost
And you have money recovered
With lovers’ insurance covered!
But favor’s some kind of bullet
And you’ve lost another wallet…
If your helper was a Lecher
You’d to God pray for a lecture
For The Lust that makes him Leper
Tom, Dick and Harry, Blank Paper.

Premium Member Verve Or Favor

Be optimistic rather than fatalistic. Don't squander and be elated hedonistic. Retain moving; only the obdurate survive. Hand jives your way to contrive. Slump or solidity must be omitted.  Wear awe mood when having moved.  Don't be shy in taking elitism. Self-reliance is a wedge of realism.

One Small Favor

Will you do me this one small favor
Kiss the mirror on your way out
So when my reflection cries
It'll have something to remember you by
Since you'll no longer be around

Could you wear that ruby red lipstick
The color that always melted me
So when my reflection walks by
And that kiss catches my eye
If not you, I'll have the memories

My Luck Doesnt Favor

Who will keep me cozy like a teapot
Who will adore even my beauty spot

I feel so cold as if I am in arctic region
I need her so sternly in my every season

Who will give me hope when I feel depressed
By seeing whose look I will be impressed

I make efforts so hard but my luck doesn’t favor
Now-a-days it seems we are two banks of a river

Premium Member Your Favor

I don’t want to start Lord
You do whatever and called it
I can’t control it
Can’t do anything about it
It is all happening according to you
And I absolutely can do nothing about it
It is all up to you
Whatever you want
You call the shot
And make it be
You make it happen
You take shot
You choose
You determine
You decide
It’s all up to You
My Father, my Own

A Favor I Doubt

I weigh the future with the event of the past;
A kind of lecture I school myself to abide,
The hate of my foes against their call for a relation,
For a reason that they need my intelligence to satisfy their proceedings:
I weigh,
Thinking it a blessing or a curse; spreading my value before the eyes my foes.
Oh, yeah! I’m troubled at heart over a favor I doubt.
