Premium Member He Will Kill You Too
Geo is an apple-polishing sycophant.
He’ll kill you too, says hard-of-hearing Grandpa Grant.
Confusing sycophant with psychopath, I guess.
The next family reunion is a horrible mess....

Premium Member Obnoxious Boor at Family Reunion
He was obnoxious almost to the point of repulsive
Constant banter escaped his always yapping jowls
He gave you no space or peace, monopolizing all conversation
Many stopped attending family reunions due to this brazen boor...

Premium Member Ready To Marry Jim
She was ready to marry Jim.
Until she attended his family reunion.
Twins were all over the place.
Three or four sets of them.
Plus two sets of triplets.
Everyone laughed when the quintuplets arrived.
She ran off screaming!...

Premium Member Who Is That
She walked into the family reunion with pink and purple hair.
And enough green eye liner to challenge the fur on a boar.
Who is that with fake eyelashes? Someone asked me.
I turned and recognized her under the spider façade.
She is my granddaughter, I told them. Wondering who they were....

Christmas
Snow and snowmen.....
what about mince pies
and a slice of Morecambe and Wise?
Crackers, food and parties,
with gingerbread, grapes and drums.
Performing plays in seasonal costumes.
Decorations hang around a family reunion.
Charity definitely begins at home.
....so pass the chocolate biscuits!...

Premium Member Eavesdropping At the Family Reunion
The cousins' fiddle duet plays Danny Boy
and summons the memory of a Danny dead 40 years.

Aunt looks to see if Uncle will share her memory
of their momentary boy,

But he is busy sharing photos of other memories
and does not hear.

Note: My cousin Danny died when he was just a toddler and I never knew him....

Family Reunion
In Family Reunion these thoughts I deride
all love that is given is blessed from inside
a hand that is passed from father to son
will hold a caress that is better than none
the love of a Mother, Sister and Daughter
will link to make problems smaller and shorter
the dance of your Cousins, Sisters and Aunts
A confidance booster that never says can't...

Premium Member Avoiding Herbert
life is not fair
life is a crock
life is a sham
life is a curse

everyone is out to get you
no one stood up for me
no one cares about me
no one ever liked me.

Herbert has made up his mind.
he wants me to stay and convince him that he is wrong.
I used to waste my time with this.
now I excuse myself
and hide at the other end of the family reunion....

Premium Member A Glass of Confidence
I can handle this
but I’ll first need a glass of wine
I need to loosen up
gather my strength
wind down

I can handle this
bit of socializing
all this gasbagging
though little painful
I can handle it

Just another glass of wine
I can handle this
keep the refills coming
I sure hope I can handle
another family reunion

Premium Member Frantically Moving Through Life
she was always in a rush
in a perpetually constant big hurry
never slowing down even slightly
too busy to get a cup of coffee
or catch up on the news

rushing frantically from place to place
too busy to lie in the grass or drink a tea
volunteering to help everyone else
never stopping to help herself

finally agreeing to show up at a family reunion
texting that she is on her way
her last text
her last ping
I will be there in a ……...

Premium Member What do you call him
What do you call him?
My cousin Gertie smirked a bit. You go first, she said.
We call him blue-eyed-stare-boy
I call him the weirdy cat.
He is a distant cousin.
Comes to our family reunion once a year.
Never speaks.
We have tried and tried.
I do not think he ever blinks Gertie said.
I don’t think he knows English, I said.
Distant cousin did not waste time with either of us.
Did not speak and did not want to.
Giving us both the creeps....

Home Is Where the Heart Is
Home Is Where The Heart Is

Oh my goodness
"Lets Party, Family Reunion"
Family of 10

Its all good, we stay close knit
Look forward to cookouts
Mardi Gras here is a big hit

Our seafood is the best, fresh from the bayou
My moms the best cook
Shrimp boulettes, jambalaya, just to name a few

Born on the bayou, its in my blood
Could never leave here
Louisiana is where I spent my girlhood

Premium Member Family Reunion At Oinkington Inn
Let’s stay at Oinkington Inn the easily pleased relative said.
Her husband looked at brochure and said I’d rather be dead.
The pigs are lovely, she replied. There is nothing to dread.
He told her to go to her family reunion with her cousin Ned.

The sows and hogs were truly placated and fine.
We visited them near an old abandoned crystal mine.
You should come next time to the reunion, she said.
Best part is, a sow ran off with my mean cousin Ned....

Family Reunion
Family sitting
at the feet of the humble
       bonfire or around
       of the sumptuous fireplace,
       looking sparks of fire
       or counting the stars ...
        Telling stories,
       talking jokes, baloney ...
       Forgetting the mistakes,
       forgiving the sins,
       purging disappointments,
      smiling for life!
       United family,
       supporting the present,
       planning together the future,
       harmonizing ...!...

My Joy This Morning
I
After prayer and shouting joyful noises to Jesus, I came to know He didn't mind

II
Messages come with unknown texts. Today, after a year, this cell updated Pastor Max, from Lenasia. I thank my LORD I didn't block his message: How are you? It felt like a family reunion, PTL

NOTE:. Pastor Max speaks Sesotho and leads the afternoon worship, Sundays at CRC, Johannesburg (CRC: Christian Revival Center, independent). Shalom shalom in our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ...

Premium Member Iowa Family Reunion
Anyone not in a pick-up truck at least better have a hound.
If you don’t have a hound, you’d better be carrying a shotgun.
It is ho-down hills days, and we are meeting for our annual barbeque.
Most of the trucks have been out mudding; they are caked.
We award the Mudding King his corndog sandwich with baked beans.
Corn queen comes along with her machete, showing detasseling skills.
Scavenger hunt to look for Great Uncle Jim's dentures begins at nine.
Nothing like an Iowa family reunion....

Premium Member Shelly falls in love six times a day
Shelly came running in with her heart on both sleeves
I am in love again! She yelled. Nothing new at Family Reunion McVees.
Shelly is always in love, she can fall in love six times a day.
She is an intense admirer too most men run swiftly away.
She catches some on the fly and hugs them way way too hard.
She has caught a TV repairman, a cowboy and a prison guard.
I love you! I love you! I love you! I love you! She yells to each one.
Being chased by our cousin Shelly is not incredibly fun....
