Frantically Moving Through Life

she was always in a rush
in a perpetually constant big hurry
never slowing down even slightly
too busy to get a cup of coffee
or catch up on the news

rushing frantically from place to place
too busy to lie in the grass or drink a tea
volunteering to help everyone else
never stopping to help herself

finally agreeing to show up at a family reunion
texting that she is on her way
her last text
her last ping
I will be there in a ……
