Going Down In Flames

Going down in flames
my body/mind
once alight with ephemral fire
is expunged by the buckets of sadness thrown this way
my sadness
a hidden
chasm
extending in a spiral manner

is all consuming

Outshine the Stars

Falling stars can fall unseen, their descent defaced by brilliant beams of sunlight; expunged and erased. And yet, come nighttime, meteors outshine the stars, their demise sublime.

Eons Ago

O, he’d expunged all that eons ago
     propelled toward rare opportunities

   Slighted, the warm glow
of the flame from the hearth of his youth
~ the heritage latent tears would dispute

A Wandering Wind

A wandering wind
  whispered a tune
caressing our skin
  with the softness of June

November's bluster expunged
as into loving arms we plunged
Two lingering leaves swept along
  by mid-summer's dream-song

Up In Smoke

Listen to poem:
Smoke billows up
as loss expunged to ashes
that crumble and crackle
in the flickering flames
that lick up all that is left.
The smoke streaks the sky
with streamers heralding
the loss of hope and dreams
in puffs and swirls
skyward.

Footsteps

Footsteps
Trod in sands
Lines
Drawn by childrens’ hands

Smoothed by onshore winds
To exist
Though briefly
To be expunged
By rolling seas
To leave a canvas ready

For lines
Drawn by chuldrens’ hands
And footsteps
Trod in sands

As Time Breakeven

Past dweller healed by time
Second hand ticked, curse expunged
A fellow, awaits on twelve
As arrived, nightmare has fallen
“Only through time, time is conquered”

Lunged and Plunged

Lunged and Plunged

Sin of much temptation again luridly lunged;
Be careful or deep in debt will have plunged;
Errors made,
In stock trade;
Records of my stupidity then were expunged.

Jim Horn

Can you imagine if all stocks that espoused
sin were in their own stock marker so we
would not be tempted by them.

Wards of the State

In the wards of the state
Custody is gruesome
We breathe and speak our constraints
Looming from hallway rumors

I am the hawk in the clock
Shaking hands with fate
Existing in between discretion

Charged with numbers
Time is the shock of stillness
We foam with desire
And wrench our poison pens

They train us like fire dogs
A hazard to be expunged

Were You There

When my Mother was killed?
Like a cockroach;
Schotched
She was butchered
Her name erased
From the book of life; expunged
Leaving us unaided
Orphaned
Disregarded, by people
Nobody pays heed
From dust we feed
Swimming in poverty
Famine attacks
Our life, full of strife
As we see her grave
Calling God to save
Our massacred Mother.

Flash Flood

a storm is brewing
dark hordes bristling to descend
dissenting thunder

coalescent scouts
in tentative teams essay
sun-parched earth awaits

sizzle of drizzle
pheremonal petrichor
harbingers of hope

cool breeze in the air
their work done, drops sponged, expunged
the deluge follows

False Hope

Each push of the deal/draw button brings another false hope. What do you see on the screen? Four cards of the same suit. Hoping for a flush, the odd card is expunged. What do you get next? Any type of card you don’t need. It’s always one card from glory. Each new bet is a try in vain. You don’t want to walk away, even though a voice inside says yes. That big win may be next. Yet again, there’s another false hope.

~the Last Legal Drug~

‘et je l'ai regardée expirer tant de fois’

and I watched her expire so many times
when bound by phantoms
at realities edge
take not a shallow breath
but inhale each others
tangled prayers

melded bodies, melted minds
where a heartbeat crashes
to drum upon heavens door
and anarchy reigns
with expunged cries

in loss is found escape
when reality slips
and space between time
feels like death

I AM LIGHT LIFE FROM ELOHIM-

So involved is my soul
Involved inside my heart
There’s light places that has expunged
The dark, the dark and blackness
Fades with a drop
A drop of light
I stand at all
As I walk in the parade
Of the beam of light
In sight
I am
More than
I am
I am energy unite
Ignite it
Flame I am
More than human
Being I am
A light and vessel
I shine
I am the embodiment
Living energy I am
A light from Elohim
