Flash Flood

a storm is brewing
dark hordes bristling to descend
dissenting thunder

coalescent scouts
in tentative teams essay
sun-parched earth awaits

sizzle of drizzle
pheremonal petrichor
harbingers of hope

cool breeze in the air
their work done, drops sponged, expunged
the deluge follows
