Cock-a-doodle-do
Crickets hum

An eighteen wheeler heads out
Voices drowned out
let your flowered braid cascade to say hello to two thousand eighteen

Ten men
War clouds roll in
Bullets rain, fight the storm
Eighteen hands now crossed, under flags

World Happiness rankings are down
More Americans wear a frown
At Number Eighteen
The whole world has seen
What happens when led by a clown!
New year this
Twenty eighteen?
In a count it found no eight teens
From thirteen to eighteen sixteens
Then this year twenty sixth teen!
An eighteen-inch trilobite, which is me.
Related to spiders and crabs….tee hee.
Advanced life form.
Will not conform.
If you want me, I’ll be in the sea.
I want her to do it my way! my cousin laments.
I stare at Lulu and burst out laughing.
You don’t remember being eighteen? I ask.
She is silent, remembering.
When playing desert golf I parch easy
Which then means I don’t get pars easy
So when I am done
I hide from the sun
And play eighteen whole games of Parcheesi
When I turned eighteen I met old Sam
and he looked as gentle as a lamb
but then his family
bore down quite hard on me
greased me, fleeced me took my money! Damn!
Ethereal calico cat has eighteen lives
Nine for other felines, but this kind jives
She is mystically, magically surreal,
Surviving much longer; it’s a calico deal.
Can't reach those cookies
at five... can't date till I'm twelve...
can't drive a car till
sixteen...can't buy a drink then...
Off to fight wars at eighteen...
Bathing is for others. Not me. Not me!
Cleaning? No way. I want to be free!
Move out when I’m eighteen?
That would be obscene.
You can hold onto me like my sisters three.
poor little foundling
alone in a white basket
left on auntie’s steps
she was always a meanie
could you soften her?
in eighteen years you sure did
you both needed each other

if you wake up with a stick in your bed you have a dog
if the stick is chewed into eighteen pieces you have a puppy
if there is no stick you either do not have a dog
or your husband has pica
Mr. Orange our eighteen-year-old tabby
Has had a good life, it was a very sad day
Time must move on
Each day the sun shone
Greeting his surrogate keeper, meowing for his nappy
It drove me on
When I was with a girl
Romance was the thing
And all I could think about
At the time when would she say yes
For I was eighteen
Do you know what I mean?

I refused to bow down to the mean.
To be average would not be my scene.
I’d avoid every trap.
This would be but a snap.
When I thought this, my age was eighteen.
Twenty-seven is eighteen plus nine.
The difference of thirty less three is fine.
If you're not a fool,
and you stay in school,
it's the square root of seven hundred twenty-nine!
plane
crash
scary
shoot down of
The Triple Seven
Deadliest crash in eighteen years
Malaysia Flight 17 in two thousand and fourteen
Three hundred and thirty eight souls went to heaven at 2700 hours
Giraffes can grow up to eighteen feet tall
So pull down your shades, they can watch it all
The stripping, the foreplay
Super heroes you portray
Like Spideyman or a handsome neanderthal
Built then in eighteen fifty-six
Earthquake, tidal wave couldn’t nix
Crescent City did lighthouse fix
At low tide it’s accessible
Strong and stoutly made of white bricks
Structure's not so impressible
Behind a fence no public view
First built in eighteen-fifty-two
Destroyed by quake, rebuilt anew
Keeps ship from crashing on it’s rocks
Named for island’s bird, not a few
Spanish word, Pelican, of flocks
A sad but most emotional day
My Dad squeezing my hand in the hospital
Just before passing away the next day
I was eighteen he was my idol
A sad but vivid memory to this day
My saddest day
