Wire

my face is covered
wet things give me cold
but nothing you pay me
one day I will eat up
bellies of your trousers
then know wire is wire

Silence Evaders

When you’re eat up with stupid,
Duct tape can’t keep you muted.
It won’t fix senseless quips,
But it will muffle your lips.
So, there’s no hope for the dim-witted.

We are the ants
    who march into
      your pantry
  as well as your pants

  We are the ants
    who stealthy advance
      do a snake dance
  then eat up your plants

  For we are ants
    not sycophants
      your Devastation

Shadow Rats

In the dark cellar where I lay my young head there were rats, but it was the shadows, the shadows of the rats that scared me most. All the night long those silhouettes would eat up the dim space until there was no more place for a child to sleep within.

Reach over and grab my hand.
Eat up every moment we have together.
Spend all of your time as wisely as if you don't have any more.
Place your other hand on my knee.
Enter my world, it can become yours.
Comfort me when I need you, I will do the same.
Tell me everything, what more can I ask.

Stick In the Mud

You filthy rodent
Why did you eat up my plants?
You're a stubborn pest

You stick in the mud
Why did you chew up my crops?
You're very naughty!

Shame on you, silly, hairless rodent!
Remind me to buy some chicken wire or rodent traps!

Cry For Freedom

Who shall restore our land's dignity
When plundered by thieves
Who frolic about in the corridors of power
How shall we escape
From the lashes of history?

'How can the captives be delivered from the mighty'?
When engulfed by malodorous ambassadors
Who like rodents eat up the nation's trust.
How shall we escape
From the lashes of history?

Hunger

Hunger

Red-gulletted, it can eat up a man
A five year old could defy it at will
And reject a bite that comes once a day
Hunger, its wholesome milk ,and all the food
Hunger dies before it could kill or maim
City-fathers, priests, self-styled do-gooders
And plenitude-promising pot-bellies
There is only extinct humanity
Amidst your existent privileges.

Premium Member Mold

Take care not to get hold
Of bread that's very old
	Behind the breadbox door
	A microscopic spore
May have turned it to mold.

Sometimes mold is blue
or white or gray or green
Some mold is so small
	it can't even be seen.

If you ate moldy bread
Mold would get in your head
It would eat up your brain
	And make you insane.
Remember what I said.

The New Ones

The strain is hard --- Sometimes too hard to hide --- I feel the urge to run --- Fate will only catch up to me --- Maybe I should lay die and die? --- Tears come more frequently --- It never eases the pain --- I guess I will cry some more --- That way it'll eat up some time --- Getting rid of old tears --- To make room for the new ones.

We Have a Thang

me and Otis Redding
we have a thang
usually meet up
about nine
sometimes he invites
Billie Holiday
we all sing
as I sink
into my bath
bubbles overflow
to that rhythm
and blues
and I sip my wine
and discuss that
crazy love thang
that has me
eat up inside
you see they
been there
been where I am
twisted up in love
they sing those songs
and we get it
all straightened out

Is it the nightingale, regaled a muse,
Enchantment of her lips — a poem?
     Her brown-chiffon wings reverberate.
Nutrients of the earth in her open beak.
“Sing, my darling, of pure sweet pleasure.”
Palms pressed to their hearts, Hansel and Gretel
eat up the breadcrumbs of sorrowful souls.

Brutalising rights
The delinquent youth,
Turns opportune,
Moral disgrace
Knows no precincts,
Beyond all tolerance !

How much can
One allow leeway,
Racial bigotry
Blot on humanism,
Indifference or tolerance,
Never right on !

Enmity and hatred
Eat up like cancer,
Have no cure,
Yet must not endure,
Suffrage the prerogative,
Embrace compos mentis !

Ants

Although in strength little ants are weak seemingly,
Years of their gnawing may bring about a calamity.
By hard work, they can make a river or sea leak,
Also they can eat up a giant whale beak by beak.
By unremitting efforts, they destroy rafters and beams,
Digging hard, they cause collapses of stone columns.
Those who are in power here is my advice for all,
Don’t make light of things unimportant and small.

Peace Cry

The cry for peace
The pain of innocent blood-flow
The perplexity of having a tomorrow
The losses of our loved ones
The moan and grown for our life security
For it is a new Kenya
Where me you make no sense in a sapiens mindset
Brotherhood a word that lost meaning
Kenya only means boundary to them
Does guilt eat up a mans mind
Does the scene of a cold blood offer a crown
Or is it all under the so called cartels?
Am worried.

A Sundae For Balzac

Your treat, Monsieur de Honoré,
a sundae, hot fudge,
an iced cream dream
sans bureaucratic nightmares,
those trance-like states
of oh, so good men;
the static office-men
who barely skimmed life's
sweetness--that hot fudge sundae
nestled deep in the heart of all.
Time to eat up.
"Look! Monsieur de Balzac has already finished his!"

The inspiration for this poem came after reading
Monsieur Honoré de Balzac's novel, The Bureaucrats.

Hair Raiser

Hair Raiser

Why are there hairs in your nose Daddy?
Why are there hairs in your nose?
They grow as you get older son
That’s the way it goes.

Why are there hairs on your chest Daddy?
Why are there no hairs on mine?
Hairs on your chest come later my son
Hairs on your chest, take time.

Why are there no hairs on your head Daddy?
Why not a hair on your head?
Hair on the head is an optional Extra
Now eat up your dinner, then BED...

The Mouse

A little mouse am I.
I limp across the field.
The Kitty bit my foot,
But now my toes have healed.

I tried to climb a mountain.
But it was far too high.
So I hide among the lilies,
And watch the Eastern sky.

I drink the golden sunshine.
And sing a sweet refrain.
I laugh at all the chickens.
And eat up all their grain.

The cheese is in the pantry,
And there's dew upon the rose.
If you look to close at me.
I will bite your nose.
