We Have a Thang

me and Otis Redding
we have a thang
usually meet up
about nine
sometimes he invites
Billie Holiday
we all sing
as I sink
into my bath
bubbles overflow
to that rhythm
and blues
and I sip my wine
and discuss that
crazy love thang
that has me
eat up inside
you see they
been there
been where I am
twisted up in love
they sing those songs
and we get it
all straightened out
