Carnival of Light
with a wedge of glass

we split the rainbow

separate colors

into organized rows

of light

they stack

like dominoes

ready to topple

should we turn the lens...

This Feeling Has No Where To Go
The collapsing in of an emotion
The house of cards falls
Here is the beginning, there is the end
But mid ground failure
There's no awards for that
Little old dominoes could tell you
A miss, is a miss...

No More Ghosts To Hide
from this
field of dominoes
form an array of
headstones and
here to rest are
the tin soldiers
buried and bound
in this hallowed ground
that did their best
these brave young men
served with pride but now
there are no more ghosts to hide...

A Walk On the Lower East Side
Past the House of Sages
       Past the Arab owned
bodega
past the Spanish people playing dominoes
        Towards my home
  on the Lower East Side
We on the Lower East Side
are spending our lives
    in the asphalt homelaqnd
while we make love
    to the urban landscape...

Incredible Justice
Sickening feeling, justified.
Smell the nature, smell the gas.
Must be.
Strange feeling, swell.
I can fly, like the breeze of wind.
Sensuous and gun fire.
Blonde arabic, Sensuous
I can breath like an ape.
I can fly like a bird.
I swell like the smell
Flipping dominoes.
Changing cards....

KICKING DOMINOES

nonsense utter nonsense plays out
dominoes don’t just get knocked down
they get kicked down
you’ve not been attacked
and no one’s hurt you on purpose
you forgot to consider
all the facts
now you’re the one
hurting on purpose
shame…
               shame…
                              shame…

Where Are They
A tiny baby dollhouse doll,
A bunch of dominoes,
A puzzle piece, a stacking cup -
Where are they? No one knows.

The cover to some match-up cards,
The crayons in a box,
Three golf balls from the matching set,
Assorted Lego blocks.

These items and a dozen more
Are AWOL and I'd bet
That I'm the only person
In the house who seems to fret....

Losers
disgraciatta beauty of defeat.

nor is it unfair:
we expect nothing,
because we build castles with silica
and with the clouds of the cobalt sky.
experts in nothing.
professionals of almost.
doubt teachers.
shaped like dominoes,
we await the touch of reality
to return to the repose of the vanquished.

Immaculate innocence of the ignorant....

Transformed Divine
Reading for inspiration
  and not for fact

The words paint a picture
  in my mind

Like dominoes falling
  one by one

They rise from the page
  to remind

My fingers enliven
  and start to draw

A vivid story
  new image sublime

All colors reborn,
as each word is set free

The ink now transformed
  —and divine

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2016)...

Not Fitting In
Don't you feel sometimes
You and I are not alike
Don't you feel
Your interests should be sealed
Be two different people
To make everything simple
Have yourself to still be proud
Have a stranger to be in the crowd
You don't want to be a loner
But who else loves playing dominoes
Don't you feel sometimes
You and I are not alike
Don't you feel
"you are what you are and that's real"...

Twenty Seventeen
Twenty Seventeen

Who am I on January 2nd,
Am I who I was on November 1;
More dominoes have fallen,
How quickly, increasing, unceasing.

So deep in loneliness gripping;
Hungover without the wine,
And blind to what meditation
Reveals quickly, and as quickly steals.

I rattle between the crash of symbols,
Concentration stolen away;
Who am I on January 2nd?
Let the future have its way....

Dominoes
what once stood up now, no longer
like dominoes, one knocking over the other
all laying neatly in a straight row
with a clicking sound as down it goes

each connected by the dots
never enough when I draw my lot
what I once had and now haven't got
never even get to take a shot

too much time to stand them up
once it's there, then it's not
ending coming too abrupt
like a blind man on a bluff...

Time
Time fly's by when your having fun
time creeps by when your having none
hope against hope, and wish in one hand
wish for true love and hope for a stand
we rise and we fall like tipping dominoes
we give and we take whichever way the wind blows
although time had no face it smiles at us
in the blink of an eye we all turn to dust
so have lots of fun, and let time fly by
but me ill have none, and savor this life....

Twilight's Glow
It is nearing on to a second spring night,
While twilight’s glow is coloring the western sky;
Brown horses are silhouetted against its brilliance,
Purple, lilac, coral misty and mysterious stripes.

Misty for the days' wispy clouds are floating softly;
Mysterious, the universe so sublimely spawned,
Eyes close across time's rolling like ivory dominoes falling,
Only to open again to a pink and pearlescent dawn....

Premium Member Faraway
I love how wè live faraway
From the noise and voices
Echoing like dominoes falling
fast and faster into the abyss
Of destruction.

I love how we live safely,
We think, as long as the world
Stays confined within electronic
Devices like caged birds, wings
Beating breezes into deluges.

I love how we live unmolested
By the sharp edges of violence,
The softness of sun when it rises
And when it sets buttresses our fortress
Of blindness.

Hanging on hope, acknowledging I wade along through empty promises Away, farther and farther, I drift Outside realms of delusions I’ve seen And like a child hold to Words ever spoken in faith, august By a Father who loves unconditionally Each person regardless of hue, Origin, creed, ethnicity, religion… All, differences imposed, willfully Inciting division, one generation to next And like dominoes, each falls … Fear, animosity thrive as love abates ~*~

Life Falls Down
everything happens for a reason.
sometimes we can't see what that reason is.
but if it hadn't have happened,
something else would have.
things wouldn't turn out the same.
like the person who left and we didn't know why.
they could have stayed.
or could they?
if they would have, something else wouldn't have happend.
then something else would stem from that.
life would be upside down.
life is like a row of dominoes waiting to be knocked over.
if one falls, they all fall....
