Politics

Politics; is the pursuit of power by the talentless,
To the detriment of the dispossessed majority,
By pandering to the greed of the controlling minority.

Creative conformity
For the majority
Is something in which to take pride

I love getting dressed up
But usually end up
To my detriment out dressing the bride

When two souls are whole/comfortable in their own skin as individuals, etc., they
can merge into a mutually repectful union whereby they enhance each others' lives

A Joker

Sacred thoughts
for normal minds,
quoted books, nothing here,
being hard headed, staying
with the norm, no matter the
detriment, turns into comedy.

Advice of the Doomed

Only mince words for society’s detriment.
Mollycoddle youth for the future’s corruption.
Beware of using political correction,
society’s wormwood; overdose for descent.
Today’s apocalypse is due to discontent.

Seeing Differently

I was able to find joy in detriment.

To an extent, I did not lament-

The future that was left blue.

As my past seemed to turn a different hue.

Why is it that I must not have hope?

For a future where I can thrive and not have to cope?

Premium Member The Bottom Line

Let’s admit it and get it out in the open
That happiness is overrated, over emphasized
And hyped to the detriment
Of basic sanity and balance.

But the bottom line
Is that freedom is what we really need
And what when we get
Makes happiness a pleasant impermanence.

*****Never quote' Scripture to an Idiot'. Fore he will always' have
the tendency to recreate it's instance and use it for his own
benefit. This is not to his avail....but, to the detriment of his
         Souls' foundation!

Premium Member Merry Christmas

It didn’t matter the detriment or the law,
What was confiscated was our freedom.
Love is a warrior.
Time is the enemy.
Make friends with your enemies
Knowing they win in the end.
That’s why humor is so sacred.
See we are not so insufferable, after all.
All around us is love and momentous light.

Conundrum

Conundrum

Modern medicine
Quick evacuation of wounded soldiers
On the battlefield
Keep the death rates of warriors down
And we accept the losses.

But it also makes wars last much longer
To the detriment
Of civilians caught up in countries where
Warfare happens.
 And civilian deaths are disregarded.

Complicated Simplicity

She’s fighting me all the way.
She won’t hear it.
It’s a definite detriment,
to the spirit.

Perhaps it’s the way
I’m presenting it,
She wastes our time,
just resenting it.

The Lord somehow
Has me in training,
and uses these heartaches,
for explaining.

“There, there now,
  My little fool,
  It’s so simple,
  My Golden Rule.”

The Beginning 6

The power you acquire is bound to destroy you
When not in rhythm with the force that inhabits
You are beyond the physical that seems to rule
That which resides within has superior authority
It must be obeyed or catastrophes result
To the detriment of those who challenge the force
From where the mundane was created for fun

Yesterday Faces: Ve Day 2008

A farewell never passed
Our valediction lost to the winds
A lifetime of rage and anguish
Flowing hotly upon the detriment
And breaching.
Though not without conflict
It is under the shadow of war
Within these shattered burnt ruins
Remains the anguish
Of sixty three years
A recollection that seeps into the void
Of my spirit
Haunting my sleep…

Overt Detriment

Involute ascendency of an omniscient detriment encased a
crystalline fragility fragmenting. Yearning a periphery absolved
stains the insidious chronicle red. A fading feeling of self
treason is absolute utopia asunder. Subtly i digress yet
paramount is this polarity diverse within me. Caged withing a
translucent spirit my voracious depths untold stagnate abound.

Bounce

Beg not assumption - not entail
that love for Thee does not assail
but wears Faith proudly to exhale
receding not my own avail!

Love's holding on, measured by ounce
does not wear time as captioned flounce.
Forever biding, stealth not pounce
as waiting, tithe the absenced mount.

Now's detriment - as weight denounce -
Love's measure lightens - bounce by bounce!

Poor Wealth

My smoking has spread cancer
All over me now
Still my strength's the answer
I'm not shutting down
Growing larger everyday
The rumour of my tumour
They need to cut it out
But I'm still in a good humour
Living each day
One at a time
You want to see me dead?
Well I guess I don't mind
Not blind to the detriment of my health
First you must be poor to appreciate wealth

Who Won

Today as the new president is inaugurated
Another conference is held
It is called the Global Labor Market
When this goes through employers can
temporarily import workers from low-cost countries
Elon Musk can import workers at his plant
In Texas for nine dollars an hour
With this organized labor will cease to exist
To the detriment for us all

The Right Spot

Time to touch the forbidden button
Years of searching for its location
Time is not on my side
Countless hours dedicated for a split decision
My youth hindered my coordination
Going left, knowing I wasn't right
An unattainable reaction drove me to my detriment
For the button remains a mystery,
Never to be found by the common man
It lies dormant until awakened by the extraordinary

Funeral- Ian Munywe

FUNERAL
Stop imbibing,
so much.
It is my funeral,
isn`t it?
These damsels,
will be your end.
It is my funeral,
isn`t it?
That crowd,
will be your detriment.
It is my funeral,
isn`t it?
Brawls and altercations,
cannot get you far.
It is my funeral,
isn`t it?
This is not,
the way.
It is my funeral,
isn`t it?
If that is what,
you want.
Then certainly it is your funeral,
isn`t it?

Nevermind

If only nil were beauties time
my fault of core, would not be thine
when guessing faith, I must be blind
to heresy's imposed refine.

Composing registrars divine
scenes shortage as the prayer in bind,
my gross performance carry's lined
percussion to resolve unkind!

Some modesty's avail resigned
a detriment, yet effort's prime
offensiveness percentage climbs
and gross contend is "never mind!"

Let's rearrange the paradigm.

Fence

This seedling's disarrange, nearing at fence
wanting to grow under, to condense,
is oft my own heart's wondering's expense,
a sorrow, deep inside from loving hence.

And if some joy would borrow, show nonsense
then try to climb or furrow, cause offense.
I ask forgiveness' marrow, strength to cleanse
my foolishness in Thee - this detriment.

And thank thee, for thy stalwart implement -
the knowing of thy loving heart's presence!

Today, I sit 'mongst thoughts of erstwhile sorrows,
Which intermittently ooze from my intellect's hub;
Reminiscing three young men granted no tomorrows,
Bequeathing displeasing whispers I'd like to scrub.

Reopened today, are aggrieves, from past years,
In seemingly blameless doings they were caught;
Causing a mother's eyes to be ensconced with tears
Exposed was man's detriment to sin's onslaught.

in memory of three young men from my town.
