Premium Member Tyrannies and Elephants

Not to be iconoclastic,
Nor politically bombastic,
But the elephant's weapon is gravity,
While the Trumpublican's seems depravity.

Leave Me Be

Leave me be, leave me be--

Why can't you see?

Depravity taints my sanity--

Vanity corrupts our fantasy--

Of a life without strife--

Our sex life has been a wonderful gift.
Once, I could "rise" to the task pretty swift.
The hurdle is gravity
to lovely depravity.
My "blank" and your "bumps" need a lift.

I spoke out against the moral depravity.

My words were filled with emotional gravity.

Life

This sophisticated depravity
Is clearly out of clarity
A calm calamity
Or so it seems to be

A misconstrued conception
That includes the exception
A well meaning deception
That this is all it’s meant to be

The 10th Deadly Sin

Portals of perception …
they used to get taught
to seekers and dreamers
and children unwrought

Depravity and greed
force fed to the young
with lies and betrayal
—their futures forgone

Premium Member Reply To Existentialism

When something of substance is written,
It impedes the senses.
When bric-a-brac is offered,
People flock to it.

At the end of life
Those of common taste
And full of depravity
Will never escape

	earth's gravity.

Premium Member Hidden Bruises

The bruises you leave
are hidden inside,
where only your eyes
can see
and others not realize
the depth of your
emotional depravity
flowing through my veins
like blood
upon which you feed
until I am drained
and you move on.

Terrorist

Evil strikes again
and conscience takes a holiday
as humanity casts off its moral compass
in favour of loathsome depravity.

Where, then, is love?
Is it better to be feared than loved?
since both cannot exist,
one must choose between them.

Premium Member In the Presence of the Innocent

If I tell you that you can’t do a thing
in the presence of the innocent,
and you rail and squirm
    They won’t let us do a thing;
    we won’t stand for it!
didn’t you just confirm
that the reason you do a thing
is to do it
in the presence of the innocent?

Sunrise

How is it one can turn away
From the blossoming of the day
Saying the darkness and depravity
Of night is more pleasant to see?

True it is I enjoy the touch
Of the night far too much
But when one is awake for break of day
The beauty is more than words can say.
Form: Rhyme

Scruple

Plying depravity from a string of unblemished guile,
Candor and virtues put on trial.
Mute complications hang the impassive jury,
Corrupt verdicts subjugate while the ingenuous worry.
Grasping for lone echos left by forgiveness and mercy,
Abolish authenticity with fallacy bred controversy.
