Porn Break
Captured in private
But widely dispersed
To the curious,
Romantic,
And wildly perverse.

Trancelike we sit in our own
pleasure chambers
Watching graphic depictions of
our fantasy strangers

Engaged, yet removed
Shape shift between spaces
Transposed, not committed
Remove all the traces

Delete today's history
Log off and be gone...

Premium Member The First Thanksgiving
The first Thanksgiving started way before the actual day.
In the spring when the natives taught the Pilgrims their seeds.
When they showed them how to plant and cultivate new produce.
If it had not been for the natives, the Pilgrims would not have made it.
It is strange that the depictions show the Pilgrims helping the Indians.
When it was truthfully the other way around from the get-go....

True Colors
Splashes of color bleed on the walls
To me this messy canvas so deeply calls

Depictions of my mind so carefully displayed
I can scarcely compare with my limited shades of grey

My shadow is dim to these burst so bright
How I long to be their source of shimmering light

What stone must I crush or lily unveil
To unlock these oils and show my true prevail

Surely these dreams are not impossible to be
For these visions began inside of me...

Poetry That Isn'T
What wafting of wisdom! Such saccharine sound!
Deft diction’s depictions, opaque and profound!
So ruminants rumble and mumble and seek
To mine out much marrow, obtuse and oblique.

My constant conundrum’s more crude and perverse:
I strive not to retch at such wretched non-verse.
Fair finery flops if its form foully flows:
Each clash, pull, and smash smells of emperor’s clothes.

You poets who pass pompous prose off as poem,
Go home!...

When Life Walks Me Beneath a Cloud
Though I cannot make time stand still
My memories are mine to hold
As long as I’m of my own mind
They will live on in stories told

Though fleeting and of precious care
Depictions of a life well spent
In thoughts, I keep as I well know
That time is only ours to rent

And as I walk in gratitude
            And think my memories aloud
These sweet reminders I embrace
When life walks me beneath a cloud...

Premium Member The Errors of God
Writing is far from new –
pictures our first penmanship:
on cave-walls, in clay frames,
using colored sand – depictions,
mans' desire to inform; each of
us having his or her own view
of nature – dreams our deeper
landscape. But, nowadays,
we are politically declarative
pronouns – naming no-longer a
rational art; images no-longer a
universal language: All creation
deemed self-determining Its!
Humanity obsessed with correcting
the errors of God....

Lighter Shade of Pale
Like odourless transparency of things
our totally blind ordeal of heavenly
composes much, the purity it brings
and mystifies perspective, angels wings.

As such, we saw depictions follow sense,
the loveliness allowed to venture thin
upon us so to relish commonsense,
a blind spot so inviting this pretence.

Pale would be to whom the monochrome,
has suffered once as if we'd died before
to colour landscapes hopefully to roam
those beautiful scenarios of home....
