Hidden Love
Each time spent with you, I have conceal that prosperous sentiment
That's meaningful to you,
Deficient to murmur the word I love you,
Effortless in speaking this tender truth
That you are the sprout extracted from my grass-root
The productive fruit which my heart so much pursuit.

Soup Opera
I wonder why they call them "Soup-Operas"?
they never promote any soup...
and if the soup was to be in the story line...
well their writer, well he must say "oopp!"
it's one of many serious wonders,
that plays upon my mind,
I guess you can truely say than,
I've finally really become the mentally deficient kind!...

To a Poet and a Lover
Close to the moonlight

I place my verse

they are still deficient

when compared to your love

moonlight is meant for the night,

your words for the millions

my poetry for you

we are [ moonlight and my words] your slaves….

Apathy ll Written: by Tom Wright 12-19-2014 Profound words, Frequently in an intense state lie, Deficient of impetus to impel forward, They continue in abysmal sleep, Un-advanced, where they die; More inferior than words I’ve voiced in haste, Were those reserved to linger In silence, and waste;

Ya Boo and Fiddlesticks
Ya boo and fiddlesticks
to the thorns of life and all that pricks.
Ya boo, too, ye plutocrats
who treat the rest like worthless rats.
Fiddlesticks to ivory towers
where boffins sport their mental powers,
deeming themselves to be omniscient
and lesser minds somewhat deficient.
Give me the simple things of life,
these to share with kids and wife....

How Poorly Do I Love You
(revised)
.
.
We have
the agreed engagement of
fingers and the casual
brace of arm on waist and
laughter to break the silence.
We sleep with limb touching limb
and feel the brief vacuum of absence.
.
I tell her that she
spent most of her life
orbiting around people
who never learned how
to show love.
.
I ask,
among the
love skills deficient,
why am I different?...

For the Love of Cake
WHAT'S THAT YA SAY, YER DIETIN'?
AINCHA HEERED ABOUT OLE JAKE?

BY JUS' CUTTIN' BACK ON CAKE

WELL HE KEP' A-GITTIN' THINNER
TILL WE ALL BEGUN TA FEAR
IF WE DIDN'T GIT SOME CAKE IN HIM
HE'D UP 'N' DISAPPEAR

THEY SAY A WORD SAID TA THE WISE
HAD OUGHTA BE SUFFICIENT...
DON'T GIVE UP CAKE OR JUS' LIKE JAKE
YA'LL END UP FAT DEFICIENT!

Success
To only achieve one’s aim is surely
A deficient definition
Success is a simple word
With unplumbed depths
It raises unanswered questions
Of what and why and how
Is this a noble quest at all?
Why fret about success?
I’m left wandering in the wilderness
Wondering about motive
Maybe if I allow love to lead
And tread this preferred path
Then questions about success
Will best be answered
By the those
Who need not ask...

Hope
On the verge of extinction,
Yet battling its way out of my heart,
Like a bird gone rouge trapped in its cage.

Whispers promissory notes that its never too late,
Neglecting the omission of forgery.

Parents nagging for salvation,
But blinded by shades of deception,
I tell them I'll be okay at the end of the day.

Inspirational when all is divine,
Degrading when all is deficient.

Hope,
The contradictory standard....

Premium Member Sterile Knot of Desire
The canopy was beaming beneath radiant stars, as whirling
wedding night dances swirled round and round the garden …
But her husband crippled, his manhood puerile,
Fate untied their sterile knot of desire.

The world seemed to shrug; she felt herself
scorned. Passersby avoided her eyes ...
Was it she'd been abandoned, deficient found?
Or had the clock just run out on her cries?

You Don'T See Time
You don't realise in its instance
You are not capable to realise the capacity of the clock
Its all in a fog
You spend your time in a screen
And feel no need to become free
You become deficient in human needs,
You think there's no minute for you to be real,
To look at something amazing,
To really feel.

I'm a person trying to speak,
Look up at me, I'm going to make you realise.
You have more time than you think.

The Sky Fell Over Montana
SIlence fell over Montana
Stretched outward, blew through trees,
Clouded out the sky,
Made its home on her hills,
Suffocated the light,
Immersed itself in rivers
Sucking everything dry.
Epidemic in air,
That she could no longer sustain.

Sunlight was refracted
Tangent arc of ice crystals
He was.

He took off his hunting gear,
Made himself anonymous.
Deficient and incomplete,
It was unavoidable,

that he would leave,
Montana in silence......

4 Mammalian Responses 5 Deferments
When confronted with a panic or fright,
We think - OH NO! FIGHT or FLIGHT!
But we're deficient in counting the signs,
Given such politically charged times.

There are two other responses besides these,
Most commonly... scared people will FREEZE!
But whether you're a neocon or a lib,
The fourth is the safest - just FIB!

Wow! you thought it couldn't get stranger,
Totally fake bravado Trump's danger.
All those deferments will carry a cost,
As we mourn for those we have lost....

The knots have knots…”God!?”
Threads of needing, want, desire;
shoots and branches, root and rote,
fragile tendrils, planted in deficient soil.

“God, the knots have knots?”
Nodes and nodules, full of spoor,
want desire…more…
hoarding, warmth, nurture, need;
shoots and spawns, no longer seeds.

“The knots, God, the knots please free…”
pulse and pump, push and bore
excrete the angst, open wide the pore.
release unhindered tangled twine.

The knots release…the planter pines....
