Daylight Saving Time
No why would I want
To be mis-behaving when
Light should be saving.

Along with more time
to be writing poems with.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME

set ahead your clock
one hour ahead you set
you lose hour rest

d s t what's this
it means day light saving time
set ahead your clock

you lost sleep oh, well
you can get the hour back
in October month?

Flyover
...And, now, six geese fly
by, low over the treetops,
leaving the lake at dusk
in Daylight Saving Time, as if
they said, too dark, too soon.
And, as long as the geese
are flying ensemble, talking
among themselves, irate
over the time change,
then, the natural world
is OK, and so am I....

November is here, all the clocks are set back.
Fewer daylight hours urge birds to pack.
Who guides them over the seas?
Perhaps a mild breeze
aids their flight.
Night
or daylight
they somehow find way
to their nice, warm holiday.
Does He help those little birds keep track?
November is here, all the clocks are set back....

Living Daylights
Daylight Saving time again.
I guess we have never
had to make egg sandwiches,
at 7a.m.
deep in the dead-eyed dark of night,
then run out of must have mayo,
drive to the edge of a pale-faced light
to bring some home
then crawl to work half-asleep
with an aching head.
and already punch-drunk,
from leaping when told to....

I Have Daylight
I ran out quickly in the sun
And captured daylight, oh such fun
It’s in a jar beside my chair
Now it’s not going anywhere
I saved it and I’ll save some more
Because they don’t have it at the store
It’s daylight saving time you know
So save some daylight, not some snow
Seal it in a jar real tight
And let it warm you in the night...

Daylight Saving Time

They had their reasons
an energy savings perhaps
or daylight appearance shift
an improvement of time..
But alas a darker view
has veiled the daylight..
Strokes and depression
shade our manipulations..
And perhaps more:
time stands revealed
as a thought impermanent
arriving and departing
veiling our lives
with its seeming
independence......

Slipstreaming
Daylight saving time
Springing forth and falling back
Spinning on in close hauled tack
Leaving wakes of fierce held tears
In tidal bores of racing years
With no time spent in quiet peace
Burning daylight sets the pace
For this, the human race.
Tho every once and then we touch
The laid back confidence of such
Who ride the tidal force of life
In joy earned
Satisfaction...

Living Daylights
Daylight Saving time,
not many want or need it.
I guess some busy body
never had to make egg sandwiches,
at 7a.m. and then run out of mayo,
or crawl through traffic half-dead
with an aching head.

The living day lights;
half too dim, half too bright,
and in this clock-watching boxing ring
of a sleep-walking world
we are already punch-drunk,
from leaping when the light
is made to jump....

Daylight saving time

Engraçado esse horário!
A gente fica dormente
e até o galo endoidece!!!

Engraçado esse horário!
"Primavera a frente,
Outono pra trás"

Passa a noite e vem o dia
E nem a crente tem fé.

Contam as horas cedo,
no meio da primavera
e conta mais tarde
depois do verão terminar.

Roubada hora!
Adentra o dia, à noite a fora
A madrugada mais cedo
E vem o entardecer que não chora!
Que horas São?
Horas de fazer mais
Ah!
De começar mais cedo ou mais tarde...
