Snow Haired Prayer

Hide me from winter’s bitter cold
And winds that seep through the cracks of soul.
Save me from the sour eyes that criticize,
That ruffle tranquil white patterned seas.
May I hear the crooners’ songs of yesterday,
On restful ears remembering
The boys sweet, and
The girls sweet,
Then I’ll smile under my snow....

Silly Susie sang sweet songs of all seasons,
repetitious lyrics redundant, without reason.
Lovely luscious harmonies sung so happily,
having her one moment of fame, she’d bow affably.
Silly Susie truly was the best of all young crooners
and she always hit perfect notes without any tuner!

Poor irving Berlin –
“Put on your Easter bonnet
And frills upon it” -
Wouldn’t he get just deathly ill
At today’s Easter Parade

There are no bonnets
Instead    girls wear nose rings

Just rock bands with loud drummers
