Snow Haired Prayer

Snow Haired Prayer Hide me from winter’s bitter cold And winds that seep through the cracks of soul. Save me from the sour eyes that criticize, That ruffle tranquil white patterned seas. May I hear the crooners’ songs of yesterday, On restful ears remembering The boys sweet, and The girls sweet, Then I’ll smile under my snow.

Oh yes! Seemed a much more innocent and meaningful time! There was a young Italian man on America's got talent this year could croon with the best of them. Always listened to his grandmom's old music.. Very well done my friend! ..Arlene

Hi Sunlite, I love the lines, "Save me from the sour eyes that criticize That ruffle tranquil white patterned seas." A nicely crafted and very sweet poem. Keep up the good work. Take care. Earl

I don't know if this makes sense but I feel an innocent desperation to this piece. I like this a lot. And reading Seeker's comments below, I'll take Sinatra any day. There isn't a day that could ever be too cold that hearing , "The Girl from Ipanema" wouldn't warm up. (Personal preference) :)

About two years ago, I lost a very funny friend (a perfect Santa Claus). He had a conventional Presbyterian Church memorial servicel, but as the congregation filed out, a stereo played "The Girl from Ipanema!" It was so "him."
