Burnt Out

Who snuffed out my writing spark?
It used to burn so bright,
Now notebooks, lay forgotten
All, tucked out of sight.

Where did the emotion go?
My urgent need to vent,
Now, when I crawl in bed at night
My mind is simply spent.

Flowing Through

Does your writing leave room
for intrusion

With spaces for listeners
to crawl in

Are your words like a sponge
that the reader can drain

Your verses to flow through
them again

Testing Deoxyribonucleases

I should have listened to my nieces,
they said it would fall into pieces,
when the temperature decreases.
Then all those dirty rats and meeses,
will crawl in through the cracks and creases,
and its effectiveness then ceases.

Space

Fill the void
Fill it, as it lingers
Through the cracks
Of your soul

Fill it before your company
Becomes your regrets

Fill it with stars
Fill it with galaxies
But don’t let the darkness
Of the space, crawl in

Or you will feel
You will see, nothingness
In its true form

Dark Dreams

Black dreams come like spiders through the sockets of an ancient skull
they crawl in, create a lull
wire black bodies pile in the empty space
overflowing from the gaps in my face
against dark night time thoughts
Melatonin counts for nought

and my eyes are open wide
as into my brain the spiders slide.

Wind

Wind 6/1/2018 Tom I listen, To the music of the wind; Some days it’s like an orchestra, and I dance. When it’s rambunctious, I don’t like the tune it plays, And that vagabond death, has hitched a ride. Clouds streak as shadows above, And I’d crawl in a hole, If I had one;

cutting down these days by

	To be said
Above

we all crawl in the mud

What a Night

A pharmacist his name was Clyde
He married a mail order bride
on their wedding night
he’s such a sad sight
his impotence can’t be denied

Went to see an erectile Guy
wanted to crawl in hole to die
Gave him the blue pill
Took wife on a thrill
She wasn’t done; he let out a sigh

How did he instantly knew to choose the right words to make me crawl in my bed again.
He didn't even knew it.
Just a sentence: ,,your project is ugly"
Made me knowing,
That I am doing too much, that I am cringe, handling things unfairly.
Things I always need to look at when I truly put effort to.
He doesn't even know me.

Worm's Eye View

Sometimes we are like worms when we are silent;
silence makes us seem slow and unnoticed,
as we crawl in the social noise.
It is by keenly understanding
what the silent see, that we begin to see
what a worm sees as it slowly crawls
under the flowers.
The flowers divinely glow above it,
as their summer fragrance delight!

Poor Boy Playground

Pain was half the fun
on a dirt-pile pyramid
topped with a slab of lumber
Bleeding, splintered hands
Black and blue behinds, scraped knees
Wounds gladly traded for joy

A discarded box
beckons three dare-devil brats
to crawl in and roll downhill
through the briar patch
Tucked safe in their cardboard womb
giggling at outraged thorns

I'M Lovin' It - Tm

She hums "Hmm" on my hymn, "I'm lovin' you"
And runs to crawl in a Delmonte queue
Demanding, "Better befit".
Then cackling, "I'm lovin' it,"
Gulps my lovely gal there … Delmonte brew.

Death's Silence

Pensive in death’s silence
my mind’s eye searching
for answers never revealed
by mortal form --
An advanced soul
encouraged by the moon
& the cross unseen
my essence wishing
to crawl in a world
of laymen
Being exceptional
is unacceptable
In a dome of questions
With answers
Not --
Living in a sacred slumber
I awake again to sleep . . .

Strawberry Bandits

The furry band of thieves crawl in the night,
wielding Zorro masks and sly grins,
soundless in single file,
under fences and through prickly bushes,
the little ones straggling in back,
they come upon their spoils,
ripe and red for the taking,
juices flow down their chins,
a light has flooded the crime,
their last bites taken,
fleeing satisfied

Mingle

You said you want, you say you treasure.
But it's impetus in your heart and veins,
pompous in that fact, the heat drives fast-
beldams with your cruelish handsomers.
I vividly crawl in your genius,
quest on a very long journey in-
and yet out, though for a timely cut.
An uncouth dream forever trapped out.
And you wished those feelings over again.

Erow.

Don'T Mean To Bug Ya

Do you realize
That while we're asleep
Bugs crawl in our ears
And whisper strange things
That's why we have
The strangest of dreams
With bugs in control
While we're asleep
As they try and direct
Our thoughts where we lay
To make us think
That all is okay
But not all is okay
If you know what I mean
As bugs crawl in our ears
And whisper strange things

Lips On Fire

Sometimes the ice burns,
a fish moves in your eyes.

The ubiquity was at lowest level,
nothing was visible in sun.

Mission crawl in the crotch
does not find any fever.

The golden cave has caved in.
Moon will find another sky.

Nerves were green, pain was
black. No mercy for hooks.

Your map was here and my stitches.
Let us see, who tells the lie.

Humility

The suitcase carried all the reckless years
The wind suffered alongside a troubled trek
I want to ride back into the sunset
In the back of a pickup,
high on the blessings of yesterday
Bury the blame, shave off the solitude,
 and cut the contestable bull$h*t
One may arrive earnestly cloaked in brilliance
Others may crawl in unnoticed except for their hint of humility.

Inside-Out

Body rejects itself,
Bone-dry and like a furnace,
It burns alive, kill
It is sand, dead

Dig two graves,
Refuse to rot,
This isn’t revenge.

Hate the body,
It’s nothing but problematic.

One ear open,
Stay somewhat conscious.

Maggots crawl in the body, tearing under the skin,
Refuse to rot, feel it inside-out.

Fling a rope,
It will not reach,
YOUR BODY isn’t strong enough.

Light In Upstairs Room

Green eeriness Comes from a house That’s truly haunted Webs come from all corners Spiders like to leave their mark There’s a lone light Glowing from upstairs room Screams from within There are crawling bugs All types of creepy creatures To bring fear to all There is a lit pumpkin Cut and carved from outside Ugly insects Crawl in and out Of the fierce pumpkin

In Quicksand

It is the truth which
never was. After many
deaths I will come to you
to repeal my verses.

The festering earth was
making the rains green,
to suck the dry sands
thrown by the angry winds.

The soul upturns the body.
You will crawl in a tunnel
to come out for sedation
accepting the karma.

A non-acceptance of the
straitjacket. Let the anxiety
rise like a beast.

To What End

A Twisted synopsis derived from convenience;
Some convenient colossus of self-righteous grievance,
     Pain unforgotten and never forgiven;
Void from accounting’s a world made to live in.
It started with lies but at first they weren’t mine;
But fear had me broken and it twisted our time.
       So now it’s let go or crawl in the past;
But how long must I keep kneeling to the face with a mask.

rethinking his naps now

Santa’s sleigh house is his latest invention
If he needs a quick nap, his reindeer can keep the flight going
But he can crawl in the back and slumber a bit
This idea has been in the works for a long time
He can barely wait to see if it works
The reindeer stop for a little potty break
Long enough! Santa says.
Now they are eating M and Ms off a roof
We need to get going! He says
Rethinking his naps now

I Sleep In Cold

While sun wakes worn down grass
     And grazes gentle slopes
I sleep

While winter fights with spring
     small dormant roots awake
I sleep

Below I live in lethargy
     crawl in search of air
through cold

I lived in summer's smile
     was fed through tubes
or roots

Grow this sprout once more
     entangle frigid stems
arouse me
