Cancer
They say that the crab, is crabby,
but most days, the crab is happy,
into the shell,
oh, what the hell,
crabby comes out, and starts snapping...

What a Crabby Day
To the fish market she'd been fetchin',
    Now her stomach linin' stretchin',
Must have been the crabs she ate,
Three crustaceans gone from her plate,
        Now poor Grechin's rechin'....

Charlotte Gets Tough With Miss Muffet
Said contrary and crabby Miss Muffet
“Hey eight-legs! Kiss my bare Tuffet!”
From above and beyond, Charlotte dropped a fine line
And bit the old bag where the sun doesn’t shine…

For Andrea’s clerihew contest...

Crabby
When wrinkles start appearing
Getting deeper by the day
With liver spots accruing
And the hair is going grey
The early morning aches and pains
A stomach growing flabby
The crows feet and the flatulence
No wonder you feel crabby...

Premium Member Goddesses One Gods Zero
The ancient Gods – Hades, Zeus, Jupiter, Poseidon did not know what to do.
They could not control the goddesses, and this made them crabby and blue.
The Goddesses laughed at their “master’s confusion. Let me laugh here.
In feminine “collusion” they made these whipped call them honey and dear....

I can tell that the stars are unhappy
and I know why the moon's acting crabby
‘cause they know you won't call
And it's bothering us all
I'm sorry that I behaved badly

The day won't go on without you
The clouds have been crying all day
I've expressed my regrets
please forgive and forget
‘cause even Alexa's gone wacky...

Couch Pleiades Not For Contest
C r a z y Cate just had a
   C-section. Crabby, she
      couldn’t control her moods.
         Catatonic one night,
            careless me stole her cloaks!
               Can’t I be cutely flawed?
                  Couch became my man cave.

*Not for contest, just for fun*

Crabby Tabby
The way that you’re crying,
You sound like you’re dying…
You can’t get enough of that food!

And then, when I feed you,
You say, “I don’t need you!”
And you’re in another bad mood!

Stop trying to bite me!
I think that you might be…
A little too cruel and crabby!

No matter what I say,
I’ll adore you anyway!
You’ll always be my love, Tabby!...

Premium Member Saying Honey In a Mean Way
There is a certain way to say "honey" that is in no way sweet.
A mean, cranky, crabby, put-you-down sort of way.
I did not know this until today.
When I heard a teacher using “honey” incorrectly.
Not an endearment the way she said it.
The whole class was listening.
I wonder if she calls her honey “honey” in this way.
I have always steered clear of her.
This practice will not change....

She's Finally At Peace
Never once, did she complain
She was always happy
Joked around and had fun
Very rarely was she crabby

Sat in her wheelchair
Day after day
Found out she had cancer
Wondered how much longer she'd stay

She fought everyday
Until she passed away
Now she's in a better place
For angel took her to heaven to stay

She will be missed
By family and friends, too
Now no longer in pain
Because it's finally through.

Premium Member Who Lives Here
Who lives here? Asked Crabby Hat, a magical cat.
She had turned herself tiny like an overgrown gnat.
I hope it’s a juicy mole, a tasty vole or a chewable rat
Said her sister, a big eater, Miss Tabby Brat.

It’s just an old troll, said an interloper who had been spying.
He is not fond of cats at all, unless they are dying.
Crabby Hat and Tabby Brat got big and faded up and away.
I guess you got rid of two more said the troll who was gray....

That Crack We Call Love
your(my) breath in break
Your(my) heart in beak
Our eyelids blink blink
Though the light of noon
We are blind
Totally blind
Ease and bless
For our souls
But crabby mad
For our minds
So that
That crack we call love
We call love
We need love
We shout love
Whispering love
Smiling love
Crying love
Sing for love
Dreaming love
Fight for love
Live for love
Die for love
Love for love
Life for love
Love for life
And all that
Crack
You call
I call
We call
Love...

Halloween Moon
Halloween Moon Crabs

A tide rises to leave behind hundreds of tossed colourful halloween moon crabs to stroll

Craving social connections like homeless souls furtively hunting their unsown roots

Celtic calendar hides matronly lunar freeing guised children and bodiless souls

Five more years for the halloween moon, till then crabby purple claws in orange suits

Premium Member Gnarled
Listen to poem:
Age gnarls, weather beats skin to flaky dryness.
Wrinkles and lines, furrows, knots and blotches
Twist and contort the skin of babies and youths
to a knurled, rough, compliant easy to grip surface.
The rough and worn acrimony of old age,
Despite the crabby, cantankerous snarls and grumbles,
Can be gripped, manipulated and convinced to comply and yield.
For now there is little else to lose, little else to try anew.
It is the gnarls of age that knurls the grip to yield....

The Abc's of Life
B follows A
And C proceeds D
It's a formula older than time

The lowest sink of
   debauchery to the ilks
Of a sort seem sublime

A pail full of
Crabs
Will stay to the brim

Each holding the
Other
In place

That none should struggle
Perchance to escape
the fate some have
Chosen to face

As the pails contents
Scramble and roil
And the water before them
Comes to a boil

They gleefully chortle
To this hope that is mine
Don't be afraid the water is fine...
