Another Way

Chartered course,
veered off of.
Always thinking
I was the boss.
A boot in my behind
Knocked down the pedestal,
now must submit my will, my all.
A defeat you say?
No, just a better way.

Get On Your Feet

Get on your feet
And take some action
Boost your spirits
Just make it happen
You can be great
Take things one step at a time
Sail across those chartered waters
Make your world shine

Warmth by Yolanda Joy Nicholsen

gazing beyond
the chartered places
that dazzles my mind
beneath the braising
wonders of self
the mere wonders
of me arose under
the infamous sun

With Honor

This love is my passion
an extreme extraordinary
force...

words flow like theres'
no tomorrow...

my love has chartered
its' course...

I will cling to tomorrow
like there is
no yesterday...

I will brave this love
with honor
for with my love
I will stay...

Of Birthing Poetic Grace

here in the cocoon
of cosmic mind
words metamorphose
into butterfly memories
soaring in the winds
of mystic thought
filling sails
of contemplating ships
on their chartered courses
to waiting shores
where caterpillar focus
bask in the sunshine
imaging reflective beauty
of harmonizing poetic grace…

Sink Or Swim

Caught in a sea of memory
Adrift with false security
You claw for the shore
But you need to see more
You're drowning in your own history

There's a lifeboat chartered on give and take
You'll pay the price for the choice you make
So play with the band
Or paddle toward land
Perhaps your ocean is merely a lake

Sea Woes

I chartered a boat for sea fishing
Those waves just kept swelling and swishing
But when the boat stopped
My stomach had flopped
To be back on land I was wishing

To go swim in the sea is so sweet
Though I swim like I'm made of concrete
That white sand's so near
There's nothing to fear
Except jellyfish stinging my feet

Eternal String

The lonely string-less kite, has no ambitions like a chartered flight, yet she soars, aimless but high. Fighting snarling trees, And dark electric lines, It s a peek-a-boo with death, Banking on wind's soft breath. Cut off from a mere mortal’s hand, Her vagabond life is short, But the flaps of freedom is dearer, Than the string of eternity.

Dove,What a Bird Thou Art

Dove thou art a wonder bird!,
Chartered by Noah to be his messenger,
You are the emblem of the Holy Spirit,
You descended from heaven,
At the  baptism of our Lord;
You fly in groups,
Like the cloud,
You come out in white and silver;
Your innocence,astounds me,
Thou art pure,gentle,meek,loving and faithful,
And you keep cooing day and night,
You dwell in tiny cages,
Built in caves and trees,
Thou art indeed the bird of paradise!!.

A Little Trip

We followed the trail to the edge of the cliff
then siix purple seagulls
gave us a lift

way out on the island of kalamazoo
we chartered a couple of young kangaroo
to bounce us to Boston
or maybe Bombay
we knew that where ever we went
we could pay,

the twenty six pickles
they asked for the ride
(we gave them two more
for a tip with great pride)

Now we've come to visit
for maybe a year,
or seventeen minutes,
it isn't quite clear.

Through These Eyes

Through this journey,
I call my life,
many a beauty,
has been seen,
through these eyes.
My course not chartered,
during my younger years,
which led me to heartache,
and many a tear.
Loved ones have passed,
but sweet memories remain,
through this sorrow,
much wisdom I gained.
Trying to recall,
all the paths I've been,
the ink would empty,
from my many pens.
All this, and more,
make me who I am,
and I am bleesed,
To still be around.

We Are

...like two pieces of wood,
adrift and worn through time,
passing like ships in the night,
each on a different path
but destined to meet,
somewhere in time.

...like the sky, wet kissing the ocean
with winded breath, lusting
over the crest's of calmer seas
as it fills itself with the moon
in the high-tide romance
of un-chartered depths,
awaiting to connect the stars
fill the void's of night,
and awake, refreshed
to the rise of the sun's blush
together in destiny.

Recovery Will Only Take a Second For An Eternity

Hearts unfold time with no remorse

The ship of life sails with no chartered course

Love is lost with no glimmer of hope

Souls fade to shadow with no way to cope

Peace is made through pictured memories on a wall

Listening to a voice but death leaves no one to call

Home is a forever barren broken dream

Lost loves heard with the deepest blood scream

Searching in the mirror for you but only seeing me

Recovery will only take a second for an eternity

Chartered

Flights set me free in my mindset
Troubles a'comin in the rearview
Dear, how do you remain so kind?
Setting up a chartered flight so clear
Heaven's my destination soon near

I'm going to make the call a lil later
The office isn't open at the moment
Flights aren't free and seems they cater
To the rich in spirit and I must lament;
I'm broke right now, and completely spent
