As to sleep I was going
I chanced to glance out the window,
The Moon a week past Full
Was playing Peek-a-Boo with the clouds.
As I was walking in the snow,
I chanced to meet a cold rhino.
It began to sneeze,
Creating quite a breeze:
Now what to do? --I dunno.
There was a mean, old alligator
Who chanced upon young Master Baitor
Both of them noted
Pheromones floated
When traipsing by came May B. Layder
Ivanka was walking down the street
When John-the-Baptist she chanced to meet
She stopped and said,
"Don't lose your head
Or my Dad will slam you in a tweet!"
Gloria Louise's last name was Bra.
she chanced to have a rack that struck awe.
Folks stared and gawked
men talked and talked.
It was like nothing they ever saw.
Chances are chanced;
Beaten are those paths;
Straight way toward the steps;
That race up the hills;
Clouded are those skies;
Heaven high;
When no one ever cries;
Yet! so it ever rains outside;
So pitiful
grasping at the lives we chanced
those who survived
130 thousand forgot
so soon
pompous buffoon
Boris Johnson will not isolate after Covid case among staff
news just 23 hours ago
humanity
just how low will we
a painting of mine found by a chance happening
NOTE: THE ABOVE IS A RECENT CHANCE ARTWORK OF MINE - created purely by chance happenings in the creative art process itself
Dancing Slippers
I chanced upon a lonely path
where softly, fairies gently sigh
giggling at the dancing pink
of Lady Slippers hung to dry.

I often feel a wanderlust,
Within my soul today,
To wander, wild and fancy free,
As in that bygone age,
When home and friends,
And bed and board
Were where I chanced to be--
When I was bubbling full of life,
And life was full of me.

Cool crescent Moon peeped.
Chanced to glance your charming smile
on passionate thrill.

Life is a toll road.
All travelers pay.
By costly wayfaring,
I chanced upon eternal youth
in the loving gaze
of your ageless eyes.

I chanced on a lady in waiting,
That kissed me.
And called me Baby.
"I say, hey,
It's a mistake, Lady.
You can kiss me Again,
But Your Husband,
Is Me, Matey...Baby.
Luv Ya Son.

Total Rogue.
Buying a Goat
How I negotiated for its slaughter
Was not a matter for plain laughter
Haggling, it chanced a sire activity,
Last before the fatalistic disability!
He is charging more than whole,
Maybe he is selling me the sire role!

And now the time is here...
I love my lady, the one of my heart,
so dear!
Your caring heart is but my
needing...
Ever since our
first chanced meeting.
When'st our glance,first did meet...
I knew that our futured love
was ever as sweet as neat!

Spring in my step
Spring in the air
Spring!
Spring!
Lingering everywhere!
Spring fever to follow,
But I don't care,
Bring for new journeys
I'll meet you there!
Where?
By the garden gate
You silly thing,
It's an invitation to life
Let us begin...
It's Spring!

I loved a lifetime in a year,
What's left of it? A smile, a tear.
I keep them safely locked away
Where the angels waltz and the poets play.
So fine a thing I chanced to know,
To fiercely love, though long ago.
So sweet that dream that haunts me still--
Consumes my soul, and always will.
Never have I seen trouble as deep as
The catastrophe in Tamaulipas.
I chanced on a 6-kilometer crack -
A lot of information to unpack.
If you fall into the crack, it seems,
You'll be in China or the Philippines.
I tell you straight, put it on the level -
It is either drainage or the devil.
That borrowed thought, which chanced our way
We enrich in our heart
The void itself, begins to sway
When love’s added to cart
Embrace, release, flow on
Each moment thus reborn
Ushering a new dawn
Unties a knot
That borrowed thought

Quietus
It stood where it always had;
the top slightly worn and bowed
like the man who had hewn it
from the ancient gnarly Oak
he’d chanced upon in the woods.
It bears on its ancient top
photographs and eulogies
of the man who had hewn it.
Gone now, the cares of the world
he’d carried upon his back.
On my walk I chanced to see
An elephant with a bumble bee.
It was such a peculiar pairing,
And they had ice cream, which they were sharing.
The elephant was holding the ice cream cone
For the bee was on his mobile phone,
I thought wow, this is really *****...
I never get a signal here !
A priest chanced to see a beautiful nun
With her, he wanted to have ‘real’ fun
He looked left and right
Saw no one in sight
But thought what he could do at eighty one

A proud golfer found a hole in his shoe
He wasn't sure what he really should do --
He chanced upon a sharp nail
His other shoe he impaled --
"Yahoo!" he cried. "I've made a hole in two!"

Somber readjustment's curve
lost sympathy, numbs the soul to serve,
that loitering giant, ridicule, its' verve
so filed away ~ injustice also swerve!
This parent of denounce,
who chanced God's word
still held onto a promise, her conserve
The Mother, soul's inclement meaning's nerve!
While modern image focused . . . . extraverts!
Beauty
A rarity chanced by one who sees
But a multitude by one who looks
Its pleasing hues to calm the mind
Scenes of charm by nature’s hand
Unspoilt, unmarred in natural state
With liberty to shine and flaunt
In uncorrupted habitat
And escape an urban ruination
Where human trespass blights
The rules of nature’s kingdom
