I cast a shadow on this earth,
a passing cloud then gone,
phasing in, then out, then in,
full in strength, then fading dim,
a unique part of one.
Vagrant thoughts
Hang about the corners
Of my mind
Idly tormenting each other
Daring
At least one
To take hold
Take shape
Cast a shadow
On the unknown.

A high order truncation,
a Haiku!
The tree cast a shadow over my body,
I slept in rags,
homeless in the park;
soon, there was a thump;
A Haiku
no shattered glass,
only charred skin,
blackest of darkness,
with blue eyes peering out!
Concerning Shadows
By: Tom Wright
1-13-2004
The memory of a person is predicated upon,
the length of shadow that was cast on earth.
Some cast a shadow which remains long after departure,
while other shadows seem to scurry into the grave.
As you rested
Your weary eyes
I laid beside you
Staring at your face
Wondering if you
Dream of me
If you thought of me.
As the moonlight
Shone through your curtains
To brighten the room
It cast a shadow
On your face
I shed a tear
Then kissed your face.
We cast a shadow in our lives
When we stand before the Light.
A shadow much taller, fuller, longer,
Than one cast only by our height.
Standing in the presence of the Light,
Jesus our Savior, Lord, and King,
We are enlightened, extended, and empowered.
His praises forever we will sing.
What you fail to realize is
Every shade of light from night to day cast a shadow in some way.
A ripple effect of what has taken place.
Stay true, for only one holds eternal grace. everything will be brought into sight
Consequence and ramifications brought to light.
So many yesterdays
You've wept You've slept
All of the past
You've kept contrast
Contract so fast
Infact will last
So many yesterdays
No longer. exist
Exact does cast a shadow
A blemish and simple a dimple
Rich vast explore with flash
Begin again so many
Yesterdays in photographs
Memories in a Flash the
Future comes fast
Another bloody southerner
Shedding tears at my steely feet
I stand in judgement over you
See me and weep
Tell the angels of the south
To bless you with their feathered sympathy
I have no eyes to cry for you
Nor close in sleep
This is my body, glorious
Within my breast a thousand hammers beat
I cast a shadow over you
See me and weep

The gardener
Hands dirty
Digging earth for new seed
Looked up
As the afternoon sun
Cast a shadow
Making a handsome profile
She looked
Captivated by the toil
Seduced by the sweat
His effort to nourish
And grow
She sighed
Enamored by his presence
It was he all along
As she watched
Each day
This man
Who had no name
He took her
To where the wildflowers grow
Our connecting eyes,entwined soul.
This love is sacred.
My one true friend.
The very best dog until the end.
''Beejay''-to remember hours of play.
Frolic in tall grass,be still a long day.
Cast a shadow from the warmth of the sun.
To smell a summer breeze,in the heavens you shall run.

Underneath it all
was true but deadly
evil lies.
She waits as it haunts
her
with miserable
eyes.
She apologizes
Nothing she has done,
only stood by, waiting for fate
to cast a shadow over her life.
Breath deeply, slowly she inhales.
Her body weakens her arms give-up and die.
She falls to the ground arms out and
retires, from the last strong
battle that destroys her
inside.
Rising steam from the ashen face,
cast a shadow on the human race,
In deadly darkness the night did soak,
with the horrid stench of the devils cloak,
head of evil, skull is the wreath,
the air is full of fear, the fear of death,
The world is ruled with a staff in the hand,
the sea is dry 'n' theres blood in the sand,
there is no way to leave this dreary landscape,
from the deathland theres no escape............
MATRIX
Staring into the written moon
Words illuminating my space
I stand still inhaling syllables
Lost in the story’s embrace.
The pages cast a shadow
Imagination in the shade
Lyrical mating of the mind
A literary serenade.
Trees of erudite branches
Fallen leaves of knowledge
Raking piles into my memory
In hopes of paying homage.
Spellbound by the paragraphs
The smells of inky dew
Entranced by this moment in time
Appreciated by only a few.
There is no shadow to the Sun
nor boundary to his abundant rays
he doesn't know a moment's peace
neither the meaning of a "root."
Wherever he tries to cast a shadow
each time his light will be there first
By Jove, indeed, a high price to pay
for wishing to see everything.
Inspecting all, all will be there to see you
no piece of you a secret and your whole is bare
without even a speckle of the shadow of an ant
for your soul to find rest and refuge there.
She moves to the darkness,
Followed by the lunar light,
She cast a shadow over the sands that are moving by night,
The movement of her body eclipses the motion of the waves,
These sands are what she truly craves,
She casts a sound to the winds of time, be not forgiving, just be blind,
She is one with the stars above, casting her light to the ones she loves,
Knowing the flow of things to pass, she leaves us to the sands from witch we cast.
