While You Slept
As you rested
Your weary eyes
I laid beside you
Staring at your face
Wondering if you
Dream of me
If you thought of me.
As the moonlight
Shone through your curtains
To brighten the room
It cast a shadow
On your face
I shed a tear
Then kissed your face.
