O Waiter At the River Styx
Oh waiter
at the river styx,
striking down the might and meek.
Thou scythe
is camped outside my door;
waiting...
as with us all.
To take the good ahead of schedule....

I do not know?
Warsaw Poland
camped out behind
the baltic sea
the making of me
washes up apon
blood soaked stones
of cunning tides
behind the vacant
graves apon our
burial ground
silence abode
all movement
abroad...

A Princess Portrait
Pretty princess in a plain
portrait,
nude like nature, nice like
nurture,
glittering glow greets her
gesture,
sensual signs soaks her
skin,
lying in love's lane,
camped in comfort,
smiling still,
she shares
life....

Solitude
The limp an the sadness, poetry n madness,
the horror of war and the gimp,
Aussie first war guys walked,
walked n side stepped the cries,
a bagman a swaggie,
camped down on the creek,
where solitude lies,
as i speak...
thank you Patrick Cornwall.....

Learning
We bought books.so many
We read pages by the thousand
We asked friends, help groups
We camped in libraries
We panicked, we worried
We were overwhelmed
No understanding, no experience
We were so lost in this new world
Then it happened, and later came
We discovered to be parents
You write your own learning
1990...

Lugubrious Lake Lurching
lugubrious lake lurching
salient waves scrunching
forth feigns fought
inky blue bought
crimson crest cupped
neighboring boulevard lusts
bounty birds pulsing
pelvics pruning perches
on flimsy fishes
drunk daedal dances
of nocturnal nymphs
fostered in flips
west wind whooshes
camped callous crisis.

Basking Turtle
I'm camped on the shoreline in a very thick bog area,
surrounded by sounds of crickets, frogs and other voices of nature.
A turtle basks just above the water's surface.
For hours I relax and peacefully view it,
but alas, this is all in my imagination.
The turtle has been basking in its large fish tank aquarium,
where at times I will gaze upon it for hours, my mind a wandering...

Chachuma
Trochaic Pentameter
We camped by Chachuma Lake near Solvang.
Danish village we would visit real soon.
Sitting close that night to fire's warmth we sang.
Sky was showing many lights with bright moon.
Stores in quaint town sold gifts for this fine June,
tourists needed only make requests clear.
My girl wanted silver souvenir spoon,
something she said she'd would cherish most dear....

Drunken Gods
Cointreau broke Gluino
Thanatos shall be reconciled
White wine jumped Saxion
Hymenaios was cold
Campari hunted Higgs
Thetis shall be cut down
Anisette haunted Neutrino
Pan was enjoyed
Amaretto hated Boson
Astraea shall be calm
Cinnamon Schnapps camped Plekton
Apollo was seduced
Port peeled Proton
Uranus is comfortable
Brandy learned Plasmons
Oceanids shall be impetuous...

No Bait
I camped upon a stream so clear,
by chance to catch some Trout.
the bait I thought I'd brought along,
I found that I'd left without.
It really didn't matter though,
that I could do no fishing.
Its better to have gone and watched,
than sat at home just wishing.
Now the moral of this story is,
don't sit at home and wish.
And never leave your bait at home,
when your going after fish....

That Other Duck Thing
I now can hear the robins sing, thankfully it's almost spring. The ducks that camped here in the snow are very few now, where'd they go? I'm always consistent with their feeding but very few now are actually eating. The mallards that come are very sparse, the cardinals and squirrels eat the seeds that I toss. If on occasion I spot a duck, it appears that these mallards are all paired up. Oh yes, of course, it's almost spring. There busy now doing that other duck thing....

Paper Boy
Paper Boy
I'm ever in an employ
Of a job I greatly enjoy;
I'm a tireless Paper Boy!
With writ I'm not coy
Message; not a decoy
I'm an honest Paper Boy!
I write not to destroy
Nor injure nor annoy
I'm a humble Paper Boy!
As on the walls of Troy
He camped to destroy
I'm a portent Paper Boy!
Wits, herewith I deploy
All villains to destroy
I'm a defending Paper Boy!
Readers to surely enjoy
I write with open joy
I'm a Poetic Paper Boy!

Refused
I walked with scents and beauty
Redwoods, lilies, pines, morning glory's
Camped in darkness amist shinging stars
Just for future stories
Water gushing with force
Shooting with grace off beaten rocks
Crisp air for a last breath
A door to which I knock
Please let me enter
I feel my deeds are done
Refuse me not for I'm tired
Of the rising sun
The doors stayed closed
I'm ignored yet once again
Unknown if for kindness
Maybe I need one more sin...
