Walking down sidewalk
Watching cars pass by and by
Looks from side to side
In dismay looks down
Now hating every roadster
Death smears on one tire
Books like brooks bring relief,
Inspiring immersion into beliefs,
By and by, life begins anew;
Lores of life resounds, renew.
Each word distils like dew.
Have you seen him, Jim?
The wide river, he did swim,
underneath the big sky,
somewhere in the by and by.
Take that raft and ride -
find Huck Finn, inside.
A young cowgirl will sing by and by
"Whoopee tie your yipee whoopee tie!"
For she knows how to cling
To a bull's ding-a-ling
But has nary a clue with small fry
Mama and them, know need to cry
When we cried yet still Jesus

All around me Father God

When a rattle snake bites you,
Do you seek after it in revenge, and possibly die?

I held a Soup contest then fudged it.
Didn't think I'd really go judge it.
Then the months went by and by
while my hand played in my fly.
How soon the poets did begrudge it!
How filled with anticipation do I
Opimistically wait here for my darling guy.
Promises you made me keep my spirits high.
Embracing dreams, I know I’ll see you by and by
The ape was a mimic
So badger pestered him
A dog tricked the fox
And followed him to crow
This boast to a rat
Was betrayed ...by and by
Tampering with its meaning..
was a monkey...on the sly.
In
a stand
of thinnings-
picked by and by
a bodger
turns his pole-
sweat drips in his
eye;

blade glides
to and fro-
on his homemade
lathe;
one
by one
the pile grows-
legs of beech and
elm.
Kids beneath it played
Home to birds and animals,
Proud and happy,stood.
Years passed by and by,
Lost its leaves and happiness,
It grew old and cold.

Hurt by the name it is called-

Can't go back

Sleeping off the past
Ticking away the hours
Inching by and by
Can we face tomorrow?
Knowing
It’s something new
Never going back
Got to go on.
We seemingly walk beside
The broken mouse's
Who wage a war
In glass filled houses
With rose tinted windows
Where death resides

Empty Souls
And poisoned words
That spring from pages
From the middle ages
here
we are
but free
roaming still

questions demand
responses and
forever moving
forward and onward
passing hours
passing minutes
killing days

howling
