push and shove
shove and push
keep your mitts
off o' my tush

so what we're packed
like sardines in a tin
don't you know
there's no butting in...

Under My Skin
Horsefly bites galore.
Covered in weals with red spots,
    All under my skin.
Scratching the itch was no cure,
    Nor was head-butting the door.

Spirit Wind
Spirit wind
Feeling on my face
Butting in, smearing
My jowls relentless
Your muffled voice
A conglomerate

I prefer the still
Silent air and the
Sharp smack of heels
On the pavement...

Premium Member Furious Passions
Our furious passions, like wild rams,

in a fight within our hearts, engage

To a head-butting confrontation,

Trying, one another to upstage!

PASSIONS LIKE THE RAMS

Like the rams,
Our passions each other up size,
Before
In endless fight, within our hearts, they
Engage
To a head-butting confrontation,
Trying
One-another to
Upstage!

Premium Member Mischief In the Fifties
Wads of Bazooka Joe under my seat
     cigarette smoke in the john

Butting in line for some 'mystery meat'
giggling at boys with a 'hard-on'

This was the kind of mischief we made ~
before handguns replaced baseball card trades...

Trump Bringing In the Shears
Trump Bringing In the Shears

Sure seems like and what it all appears,
Trump had been bringing in the sheers;
Kept cutting;
Head butting;
Our fears were everything disappears.

Jim Horn

While we will worry and everyone wreaths,
Caught Trump again stealing all the sheaves....

Premium Member Cracking the Mirror Each Time
keeps butting her head against the same mirror
it cracks and breaks finally
so she finds another one as close to it as possible

Same scenario,
Same scripts
Same arguments.

This mirror leaves too
Why do all the mirrors leave me? She asks.
The cat has no answers. Just glad to get all the attention now....

Premium Member Brain Dead
He had earned a black belt in tae kwon do

Breaking slabs of concrete with his big toe

And butting planks with his head

Had left him nearly brain dead

Glazed eyes resulted from many a blow

You
The story began
As stories do,
With time
Still in once.

Tale progresses
     Spindle un-spun
Ball on the left
     Butting toes
Fleece on the right
     Tangled fingers
In the middle
      A life
You.

Tale finished
     Spindle un-spun
Ball on the left
     Butting toes
Fleece on the right
     Tangled fingers
In the middle
     A death
You....

Did Somebody Call a Doc?
Come on now
let 'em fight
if your butting in
I won't bite
Listen Doc
you got the right
But Big R.E.D
has got the might
I think you know
who will will this fight
I don't think that
get though the night
without being slammed
by my own hands
we can be allies
or we can be enemies
just remember who will be on stop:

'cause in the end
It'll be Big R.E.D...

Premium Member What Animal Would You Be
i am a mouse
small and sleek
big-eyed and curious
i always sneak
arund the corners
watching everyone's moves
until i have my chance
to come out of my nest
i hide
under your sinks
and in the shallow corners of your house
listening to the conversation,
but never butting in---
Unless you have a cat!
then i scurry for my life!

Family
we've gotten together and been apart
but now were together again.
were a faimly once more,
joined together in one house.
hopefully the arguments,
the worry
the concern,
all that will stop because were all together.
hopefully we will all grow closer.
we will become more of a family.
hopefully the butting of heads wont come about.
all theses things i hope. but just one i want.
i want my family together....

Premium Member Little Miss Clingy
My Little Miss does not do 'aloof'
One kitty dash as I sit, and poof!
Lap kneading, too greedy
Head butting, so needy
I declare love, but she demands proof-

No Sunday sleep-ins will she allow
Every 6 a.m. is time for chow!
Pawing, purring alarm
Furry butt on my arm
No snooze button shuts off her meow-

Premium Member Tagged Ewe
On looking through the window
A humorous sight I'd seen,
A quartet of lively ewes
Were playing Tag on the green.

Leaping over twisted logs,
Around the rocks they skipped,
Sweeping round the bendy field.
Down and up they dipped.

Butting heads and locking horns,
Bumping each other in the side -
( I think if I was one of them
I'd be terrified! )

At times it looked violent.
But it's their way of having fun.
What a joy to watch these adult sheep
Baa and play and run!

This Evil
Yes, I can see,
I was becoming my father
like the return of sanity,
a lone voice
in Armageddon,
when you feel the guilt.

You say the evil
was crawling everywhere
beyond the eyes and ears.
The trees, the houses, the wombs,
the art, the perfection
crumbling in thick fog.

May be nothing was left for harvesting
in life. Small seeds saved in your
butting pocket, blood smeared,
will bring the rains one day –
and I will meet my counterpart
in the battlefield.
